For Madlib 's latest endeavor, it appears that he's going the rock route. At least, that's what I'm assuming based off his latest single, "The Mad March", and the title of his upcoming 45 release, Rock Konducta . Could this be a new phase for the genre-jumping everything-man? If so, I'm down with him flipping samples from like the one we're hearing on this track. Although its not brand new recorded music, Quasimoto has dropped a new LP comprised of 12 tracks recorded over a roughly 12-year period. A few of the tracks were released, while the others are previously recorded unreleased tracks now mastered for the first time. Madlib is a well respected and phenomenal producer in many ways; he collaborated with likes of Erykah Badu , J Dilla , Mos Def , and so on, but also released several quality instrumental albums. Besides being a great producer, he is a rapper too. But he doesn't like his own rapping that much. To me, Madlib is a loveable MC. His timing is always a little bit off and his flow is lazy.
