Magical Mistakes is the project of Erik Luebs, an American national who upped sticks from Southern California to Tokyo on a voyage of cultural exploration and self-discovery a little way back. This latest track from the percussionist-by-trade, entitled 'Snow Shoes' draws on minimalist techniques to create wonderfully spacious quasi-electronica. Magical Mistakes uploads one from the earlier winter months. He says it's a gentle song for gentle people, I'm inclined to agree. It's an easy-going jam, very comfortable but still classy like the tuxedo tee.

This past weekend I witnessed one of the best electronic music live sets I've seen, courtesy of Eric Luebs aka Magical Mistakes . I was fortunate to pick up a CD release of his upcoming full length album entitled Everything Uncertain ( Day Tripper Records ).
