Some good news in the musical world this week. The last time we heard from Magistrates they said this " Magistrates is over, thanks for everything, we will all be working on other musical projects, we'll let you know more news in the new year. I'm sure we will meet again." The boys seem to have come to their senses as they're back with an upcoming gig at the Old Queens Head in Islington and new music to follow. Check their Facebook for more info. [...]

Essex Indie outfit Magistrates have been given the Electro treatment by the always quality Grum . A bit more ElectroPop than your usual Grum outing but it's still got that Grum groove and the whole track works together brilliantly. 'Gold Lover' sounds like it was written with this reMix in mind! ♫ Magistrates - Gold Lover (Grum reMix) (zShare) (MediaFire) Apparently Magistrates have split up, or something. Looking back on the posts this January, it's been awash with remixes. Loads of them. It must be some kind of New Years resolution for producers and bit when someone says they're going to get fit. DYM aka Damn You Mongolians has returned to the production seat and he's churned out some keepers. Two of his own and two remixes - one of which is a Magistrates rendition that I'm particularly keen on and I'm still gutted they disbanded a few months ago . Anyone all the focus is on DYM [...]

My favourite remix producer Graeme Shepherd aka GRUM has resurfaced this past week with a few new additions for my library. It seems a lot of blogs are reminiscing about his banger remixes, especially these dance gems in-particular. In doing so, they brought a bunch of classics back to our speakers. So restock your library while we wait patiently for the next fantastic release to come our way! Magistrates - Gold Lover (GRUM Remix) * [...]

Been accumulating these new tunes for quite a while now, I believe it's about time to let them go. I give them all a thumbs up, so grab each one. Apologies for the randomness of this post. Enjoy! On this remix, Grum takes his sound in a bit more of a classic house/electropop direction...and at the risk of sounding cliche, I'm lovin' it. Thanks to Asian Dan for the heads up. Magistrates - Gold Lover (Grum Remix)

Lot of text in the last two posts, so I'll keep it short. Grum is one of our favourites. He's done some awesome remixes and seems to have stopped spelling his name in all caps. Priors - What You Need (Grum Remix) Magistrates - Gold Lover (Grum Remix) Jump Jump Dance Dance - Show Me the Night (Grum Remix) Lady GaGa - Bad Romance (Grum Remix)

So these guys are similar to Fenech-Soler in my opinion. From Essex, England, this indie-pop quartet released this single from their 2009 album. I would tell you the album title but I can't seem to find it online and to tell you the truth I'm already sleepy. The song too good to miss out on! "You fool, heartbreak, She'll take everything and she'll cut you in two You bruise, heartbreak, So easy to get you, so easy to lose" [...]
The XBox - which young people tell me is a bit like a Binatone TV game, only the gun costs extra - is about to.... um... Xbox Unites Music Lovers With The Hottest Bands To Create a Nationwide Gig Tour With a Difference Yes, that's what they're doing. They're bringing together music lovers with hot bands. Although if the band didn't already have fans, they wouldn't be that hot, would they? Anyway, it's a "nationwide gig tour" - 'gig' is a word used by musicians to mean concert, you know - but it has [...]

This morning I have a few more tracks I came across while scrolling through my library; these three are of the pop-punk, garage pop variety, and are good for keeping yourself awake on a long drive, as long as your traveling companion doesn't mind it being turned up loudly. Klaxons – Golden Skans (mp3) from Myths of the Near Future Magistrates – The Inbetweens (mp3) Motion City Soundtrack – Everything Is Alright (mp3) from Commit This To Memory
