But if this blog is anything at all, it's a reflection of what I'm listening to and what I'm enjoying; to hide my fandom under a bushel would be to defeat the point. Another Record Store Day exclusive, Manchester Orchestra teamed up with the always happy Grouplove for a split vinyl. The tune "Make It To Me" is fun. I'm digging the dubstep sound they went for on this. Hopefully an MP3 comes around soon. They also did a track with Frightened Rabbit called "Architect". Not as exciting to me.

I wasn't sure what to expect from a Frightened Rabbit / Manchester Orchestra collaboration, but of course it is absolutely brilliant. It had me from the beginning strains of Scott Hutchinson's melancholy vocals. "Architect" is a lovely, sad song that pulls at all the right heart strings. Never thought I would ever see the day when Manchester Orchestra and Grouplove would collaborate on a track together. But then I remembered of a little thing called Record Store Day where the most unlikely of splits and teaming ups happen and it all made sense. The track “Make It To Me” is an electronic genre-blending extravaganza that really compliments the strengths of both bands at play.
