21 year old electronic Wunderkind, Flume , has seen his proverbial stock soar to unimaginable heights since an assemblage of his singles went viral in late 2011, the ultra success of his debut album hitting number-one in his native Australia (recently ousting One Direction as a matter of fact) and specifically, the gargantuan success of “Sleepless” featuring vocals from Jezzabel Doran. Since charting one of our favorite purely electronic albums of 2012 with a self-titled LP, “Sleepless” has proven to be a track with which an absurd amount of producers have gotten their hands on [...]
Coming from Washington DC via the Philippines, up & coming Manila Killa rips apart the vertebrae of two Chromeo classics (accompanied by Reusa ), one Lana Del Rey gem, and one original that features Jezzabell Doran on vocals and another that uses Mike Posner as a polite little stepping stone. Manila Killa gets the job done in true puppetry-pop fashion. CHROMEO - Night By Night (Manila Killa & Reusa Remix) LANA DEL REY - Born To Die (Manila Killa Remix) [...]

When will it be enough? It seems that new remixes of Lana del Rey’s tracks drop on a daily basis. I really don’t mind them when they’re as good as the one below. Washington, DC’s Manila Killa , finished this one over the Thanksgiving break but he’s just letting it loose for everyone to enjoy. You can cop it for free if you give his FB page a ‘like’. Remix sensation Manila Killa released his latest tune inspired by the film Inception under Beacon Records. "The Kick" seamlessly combines "Time", Hans Zimmer's score for Inception, and the ever hard hitting "Greyhound" and "Walking Alone" by Swedish House Mafia and Dirty South accompanied by the vocals by Coldplay. "This track is about a comeback," says Manila Killa, "a sort of awakening, in my music career.." We've had a taste of Manila Killa before and this time, he teams up with El Cid to remix Calvin Harris's "Feel So Close" giving it a funky electro pop treatment. The uplifting disco synths reminds me of Madeon 's sounds although Manila keeps it creative giving a unique perspective to the style. I really like the direction he's going and hoping to hear his name a lot more in the future. Calvin Harris - Feel So Close (Manila Killa & El Cid Remix) [...]

So I haven't published a Mailbag for about a zillion years, and for that I apologize. I would claim I've been busy, but that would be lying. I owe you a good one, so here we go. Sorry If some of these track are a touch old, I've been building up for a while... Vitamin #1: In honor of the ridiculous goals I saw the Netherlands score in their pretty convincing win over Uruguay, I'm starting off with a little of that dirty dutch. Don't know who dropped me these Disco Killah [...]

Well today I am feeling somewhat down as my team Greece was booted from the World Cup.Now I knew from the beginning the chances were slim for them but I still had hope after we beat Nigeria.Aside from that though I do have something to turn the sadness around and that is dope music.I do however when thinking about trophies and contest "Why haven 't the Grammy's or any other Music awards put in a blog section yet;I mean come on we do influence the music industry heavily don't we?".Anyways Let me start by saying today we have some huge [...]
