As regular readers will know, we've been running a remix competition lately. I can now, finally, unveil the winners! We had a deluge of excellent entries, and in some cases were left in a position where we simply couldn't limit ourselves to posting just one tracks, such was the brilliance of the other entries. As you know, one of the main purposes of blogging is to help discover new talent. I've decided to take that process forward by hosting an unofficial remix contest for all you budding DJ's out there. Perhaps best remembered for a failed attempt to come in last during the 1980 Eurovision Song Contest, Marc Moulin of Telex has died. Moulin had initially come to prominence as a pianist, playing acid jazz throughout Europe in the 1960s. His first band, Placebo (not that one), formed in 1974 and released three albums which jazz experts will still argue sound fresh and surprising today.
