Zes jaar geleden maakten we kennis. En hoewel een oceaan ons scheidde voelde ik me toch met jullie verwant. Ok, dat er dagelijks camera's op jullie [...]
Last night's Glee kind of annoyed me. The show's been very hit-and-miss all along, but especially so this season. The one thing they've usually gotten right is the music performances. So it was distressing to see them do "Make 'em Laugh" from Singin' in the Rain and "Nowadays/Hot Honey Rag" from Chicago , more or less exactly as they were done in those movies. (Only not as good.) And then at the end, they did a great mash-up of "Umbrella" and "Singin' in the Rain." Except, I figured out this morning [...]

1. Marie Digby - Better Off Alone Sounds like: Something from the prototypical singer-songwriter, guitar-wielding hottie Big props to: The self-deprecating lyrics contrasting well with the upbeat tune Quotable line: "I think you're mistaken, I'm sorry to say, I'm really just a loser who's getting in your way" Buy it on Amazon.com 2. Making April - Roses and Butterfiles Sounds like: A more melodic Yellowcard, or an edgier Something Corporate Big props to: Piano punk. I fall for any punk song with a piano component; I'm [...]
A few thoughts: 1. I'm working for peanuts right now, I'd settle for cashews, or even trail mix. 2. I loved the Oscars this year. I've watched them every year for the past several, and this one was my favorite so far. The best overall group of nominees, the most deserving winners. Jon Stewart was born to host the event, and due to the strike, the writing wasn't overwrought, and felt less slick, in a good way. AND, who couldn't love when they had Marketa Irglova come back out to give her acceptance speech!!?! [...]
So, to those of you who know me know my six year connection to the retail giant, the Gap. It's a love-hate relationship and while they had a rocky 2007, there are lots of changes in the air. They have a new head designer, Patrick Robinson, whose first collection should be the Fall 2008 line. He has worked for the high end market such as Giorgio Armani, Anne Klein and Perry Ellis. The company is also taking a new route in terms of advertising but the way of music. Due to the enormous success of the past few [...]
This post is for mt since she's been hounding us about this girl. We saw her open for Castledoor a few months ago but we know friends have been scouting Marié Digby for a few years since she won that Pantene contest. Apparently now she's getting tons of buzz with these Lonelygirl15-esque YouTube videos and appears to be managed by a team with some serious marketing savvy with street teams, fan
