"Sabotage! I don't like it! I don't like this sabotage. I don't like it . I do what I do here!" - Tom Scharpling, denouncing the diabolical forces that dared to attack his equipment "You can't talk to me like that. You know why? 'Cause I'm a professional basketball star, you piece of f uuuuuuuu dge." - Rick Stevens, reducing Tom to a mere confection for failing to recognize his lofty status "What is that ? What is it? Seattle was asking for it when they named the music and arts festival "Bumbershoot." I mean, it means umbrella, so it's almost inevitable that there will be at least one drop of rain at one point during the weekend. Thankfully today, Saturday, it only rained for about 15 minutes. But even the rain could not stop the upbeat feel of Bumbershoot on this day. Saturday's main stage lineup included Katy Perry , the All-American Rejects and Sheryl Crow , probably the three most popular artists of the festival. So naturally, the Seattle [...]

The comedy album is having a very good year. I've selected 5 things I want you to hear: Paul F. Tompkins - "Elegant Balloons" What I love about Paul F. Tompkins is how friendly his comedy is. He makes me feel safe. Not in a timid way, just more like he's the opposite of the kind of comedian who's looking for people to make fun of. That's why he wears a three-piece suit every time he performs. He's a gentleman, and he's dressed up for the occasion of this his comedic performance. His album feels classical without feeling retro, it's [...]
