a couple of years ago, i took a chance and posted one of my most beloved records, the raindogs' lost souls. the record has been out of print for some time, and i really wanted more people to hear it. lost souls came out 1990, and for the life of me i dont really remember how i found out about em, cause it seems that their reach, sadly, was limited to mostly the boston area. actually i may have my friend dom and his brother dan for turning me onto em. either way, like i said originally since [...]

It's amazing what you can do with 216 seconds. You can boil an egg, eat a hot dog, skim yesterday's Phils' highlights, take out the trash, even drinkthreebeersfast... but most gloriously you can get lost in a pop song. In this give-it-to-me now, attention deficit, jump cut, itunes instant gratification age we wallow in (if only for a moment), many mourn the death of the album, the grand artistic statement. Not me. Give me great songs. Give 'em to me fast and hard. My friend Dave espouses the Five Second Theory - you will know in the [...]

i was pretty content w my top 11 records, but then started going through my collection and realized that there were some records that i felt needed further recognition, for whatever reason. so here they are.... 12. tallest man on earth - the wild hunt king of spain burden of tomorrow 13. drive by truckers - [...]
after a couple week hiatus, i figured it was time to put mark cutler's red back into heavy rotation. why? cause its awesome plain and simple. cutler's music is music you'll, or at least ill still be listening to in 10 or 20 years, cause its timeless. all this shit thats hot right now, is exactly that, for right now. ill admit i fall prey to some of the latest and greatest, but that doesnt make me better or worse than your ocd music fan, im just sayin is all... maybe take a break from said artists and give a [...]

getting back to the albums i am currently mildly obsessed with. as shitty of a writer as i am, i really do hate ending sentences with prepositions, but in this case im just gonna go with it. the album in question is mark cutler's recently released red , which was released by our, meaning me, pal, mark, at 75 or less records . to put in plainly, which is my style, mr cutler should be huge, and maybe/hopefully in some area and zip codes he is, but im talking like a house hold name huge. [...]

what is up peoples? man not much here. took a cert exam this morning, and got an 895 out of 900. so, that was pretty awesome, considering i was unsure if i would even pass. it's the ol birthday, too, which honestly i'm not that psyched about, but i cant fight time, i guess. from time to time, i walk a very grey thin line. some of the demos/outtakes/etc i post are definitely suspect, especially those belonging to the beatles, keith richards and artists of the like. this post is definitely very very grey. i have never posted [...]
