Freddie Joachim has just dropped a remix of Golden Temple - a track he did with Mar on his Fiberglass Kisses album. The added drums on this version makes it slightly more appealing to me
Ahmed Gallab and his new project SINKANE present the new music video for their latest single Warm Spell. The American musician who was born in Sudan just released his debut album Mars via DFA Records after having previously been a member of YEASAYER. A very infantile-minded individual got hold of the controls of NASA's Opportunity Mars rover and doodled a giant penis onto the surface of Mars, which, btw, ended up posted on NASA's website. I can't really blame the NASA team who did this, I mean, who wouldn't want to draw a penis on Mars? Whomever posted this to Reddit put it best: "Mars Rover = $800m, Team to Operate = $1b. Drawing a penis on the surface of another planet = Priceless."

After a long absence, MGMT finally returned this past weekend on Record Store Day with their new single “Alien Days”. While there will always be people clamoring for a return to their glory electro-pop days of “Electric Feel” and “Kids”, I for one am glad the band continues to grow towards a spacey-psychedelic frontier that remains extremely risky, but will always prove intriguing to the ears. Unlike most of 2010’s Congratulations , this actually feels warm and inviting, and it’s a trip to Mars that I would gladly volunteer for again and again.

Ever since the Inspiration Mars Foundation announced on April 11th that they will be launching the first-ever manned mission to Mars, they have been receiving loads of unsolicited applications from people hoping to be the chosen ones sent into space in a small enclosed area where they have to drink their own purified urine for sustenance. Not too surprising! For the many adults who were far over-prepared for space travel, due to having attended Space Camp as children, this is likely the opportunity of a lifetime. Even if the only reason they went is because whatever [...]
Having already wooed the world with his rapid on-the-ball re-edit (taken from Daft Punk’s recent ‘Get Lucky’ preview at Coachella + SNL), Parisian dynamo - Cat5 - is set on course for worldwide destruction. Lifting the vale on just a few of his own productions and remixes, France’s Cat5 continues on setting the cat amongst the pigeons and looks upon being recruited as a famous doppelganger for the man in a big, bright mouse hat. Cat5 is his calling card, Cat5 sends you a great big meow. AN’s über-favourites: ‘Hello [...]

>> Bursting forth with the ferocity of Link Wray 's meanest, tobacco-spitting moments comes Boston's Royal Wedding . The trio's dilapidated, guttural, rockabilly skronk quickly drew us into its latest release, Inhabitants , which was released to the wilds of the Internerds last month. The EP, available as a pay-what-you-like download from Bandcamp right here , touts six skeletal and electrifying numbers. Echoed, harsh and dangerous-sounding effects fly from each instrument, but paint-by-numbers rock-shock sleaze Royal Wedding is not. Each song from the threesome's EP carries wisps of driving, atonal no-wave, like opener "S.C.U.M," [...]

Lantern just shared a new track that is available for free download called "Mr. Mars" to celebrate their upcoming tour down to SXSW and beyond with Sheer Agony. Also check out their extensive tour schedule for March HERE .

"I tried my hardest to keep it going [...]
