Concours : Festival CHHHHHUT du 8 au 29 octobre à Marseille Récemment, je me suis fadé un très sérieux article consacré à Sonic Youth qui esquissait, dans un charabia de circonstances, un postulat philosophique quant au statut « d'œuvres » des compositions propres au quatuor new-yorkais. Outre l'ennui, l'envie m'en pris instantanément d'envoyer valdinguer ledit article d'un revers de main et de souiller cette « culture du concept » dans la musique d'une giclée biliaire aussi gratuite que méritée. Le rock, dans sa pluralité, est certes beaucoup plus qu'un divertissement ou un commerce, mais de là à le canoniser pour une chose qu'il n'est pas et qu'il n'a pas la prétention [...]
