Film soundtracks, by which I mean compilations of songs on the soundtrack, or the horrifically phrased 'Songs Inspired By...', rather than an actual score, are often rather bloody awful. Or at least really inconsistent. When they are genuinely good, its either because the films themes lend it to song really well and the right artists are picked, or because someone involved in the film has really good taste in music.
