The return of Ma$e (for the 3rd time since retiring as a pastor in '99) on the remix of Wale's "Slight Work," which features Bad Boy CEO Sean "Diddy" Combs, and their newest signee French Montana. Ma$e shows that he still has his distinctive drawl and slow-flow that we're all familiar with so cross your fingers that he'll cement his return with an actual LP.

If you remember, Diplo started his onslaught of production gems late last year with his work on Wale 's "Slight Work". Now the track get a remix featuring Bad Boy's two greatest living members. I really wish French Montana wasn't on this, so we can just reminisce back to the 90's with Mason and Sean. Time to put "Feels So Good" on.

Diddy takes the Diplo produced Wale track from Ambition and gets an old-school reminiscent Bad Boy remix put together with French Montana . It even sees the return of Ma$e to the rap world. I'm always open to a comeback from Mason Betha. Same flow as you remember. The past and future of Bad Boy on this one. WALE FEAT. MA$E, DIDDY, & FRENCH MONTANA - SLIGHT WORK (REMIX)

Overly stuffed posse cut remixes of the latest street/ club hit may still garner instant blog mentions and evoke brief excitement over who had "the hottest verse", however with a new one seemingly dropping every other minute (and with most of them being "unofficial" revamps filled out with pasted-together "freestyle" verses of varying sound quality and/ or filled with the usual suspects [Ross, Wayne, etc.]), more and more rappers are finding themselves having to rely on stronger gimmicks to make sure their 2.0 take stands out from the pack. All of which brings us to this new, Flex [...]
Now this is something worth blogging about. Taking the saucy " Slight Work " beat, French Montana, Diddy and Ma$e have teamed up with Wale to wreak lyrical havoc. Well, most of these MCs don't usually have much to say, but they sure do sound cool doing it. And damn, Ma$e is back. Yeah... Give this sucker a spin and let us know what you think.
For weeks, Wale's been on Twitter teasing the world about the remix to his current hit single, "Slight Work," claiming the track's co-conspirators would shock everyone. With the song's liberation [...]
Flex just premiered the remix to Wale's "Slight Work," which features Bad Boy's French Montana and Diddy as well as Bad Boy alumnus, Mase. That's right, welcome Mr. Betha back—again. Wale - Slight Work (RMX) ft. French Montana, Diddy & Mase Did anyone catch this line: "Only dude from the Unit, MMG recruited" -Mase I wonder if Mase was simply referring to this remix or if Ricky is actually thinking about signing him to Maybach Music—naaaaaaaaaaaah. White Panda continues on their mashup/remix hybrid trek, this time borrowing from Tom Petty to back up Biggie Smalls. Mo Free Mo Fallin' by whitepandamusic

Yeah, yeah, we know: Tom Petty's "Free Fallin'" is one of the greatest pop records ever made and yadda yadda yadda . For us, we could honestly go the rest of our lives without ever hearing a single one of that song's opening strums ever again and be perfectly content. Pair those overly-familiar guitars and that damn "can't-eject-from-brain" hook with the radio-glossed truth-isms of Kelly Price and "Shiny Suit Era"-heyday tag-team of Ma$e and Biggie (sans The Artist Then Known As Puff Daddy) rapping about their rich man problems though, [...]

"Rock-a-bye, baby, rock-a-bye" Harlem World's 1999 album The Movement was split between tracks that reflected the polarizing times. For every glittery track on the album, cross-wise there stood a bloody, gutter-dwelling antagonist like "100 Shiesty's" and the vis-á-vis booth battle of "Pointing Fingers." Meano's verses on the album had me believing in dude something awful, word to David D. swearing by rappers . Harlem World - "Pointing Fingers"

A complete history of "Space Lord" by Monster Magnet, the shining light in a relatively obscure discography from a group of hard rockers from New Jersey.
Nas x The LOX x Ma$e performing on Nickelodeon's All That...

Few partner labels have ruled an entire decade like Bad Boy did. Between B.I.G., Mase 's short tenure as a rap superstar, Puff in his heyday and the production supergroup The Hitmen, Bad Boy established a style and sound no one can match. The Indianapolis Public School district thought it was a good idea to put elementary school students on the same buses as High School students, so needless to say I found out about Bad Boy far before '97, and for that I'll always be thankful. Between Puff's dancing in the videos and B.I.G.'s penchant [...]
