Contriva frontwoman Masha Qrella has been a fave since " Don't stop the dance " graced our ears more than 2 years ago. Haven't heard much from her in the meantime, so imagine the joy of listening to Speak Low, 11 songs of recontextualized / covered music from two highly respected Broadway composers, Kurt Weill and Frederick Loewe famous for his work on My Fair Lady and Camelot. Masha and Co. has taken on classical Broadway pieces and transformed them into spacy & bittersweet indie pop pieces. Lundi c'est raviolis mais aussi petites chansons jolies couter avant d'aller au lit. Les Allemands de Masha Qrella reprennent un classique de Roxy Music, laissant le clinquant de la version originale pour une dlicatesse boise du plus bel effet. Four Tet compile ses remixes et l'on redcouvre avec plaisir sa relecture cotonneuse d'un morceau de Sia, une des voix de Zero 7. Peu friand de sries tl, j'aurais presque envie de regarder "Grey's anatomy" parce que le sublime gnrique sign Psapp ne me [...]]]>
