Last week I ended my post with: "I'm curious about what happens when I meet Drop The Lime this weekend at Shambhala Festival in Canada." So this week I'll let you know. Shambs, as they call it, has been mindblowing. Awesome crowd. Great music. I enjoyed every single second when I played the Fractal Forest stage and managed to witness countless great DJ-sets. I hung with Skream , Ursula 1000 , Smalltown DJs , Computer Club , The Rub , Flosstradamus , Fort Knox Five , Robb G , [...]

As usual this is a little late by blogosphere standards, but the Crookers Essential Mix (download available at the bottom of the tracklist) is not to be missed out on. They played a sick show last sunday at club 1234 here in Montreal, and although the crowd was boorish, repetitive and stale and the photographers were just reinforcing bland stereotypes the music was good enough to make up for it. Its the music, not the scene, which matters and endures. Anyway here are some individual tracks from their Essential Mix, which is basically what they played here [...]
Over the last six months, I've posted predominantly indie-electro, distorted bangers, gnarled electro-tech and fidgety tunes with wonky basslines. I've displayed a beset fixation on the likes of the Black Ghosts, Fake Blood, Switch, LA Riots, Justice and Does It Offend You, Yeah?. I like vocal based remixes, distorted bangers and gnarly basslines - and I hear you say it's all getting a little samey? Call me old-fashioned, narrow-minded, stuck in a rut, monotonous or unadventurous - though I'd prefer you to call me Pelski - but I generally stick to a certain vein of dance music. [...]

I HAVE HURT MY IINDEX FINGER TYPING SO GOTTS TO KEEP IT SHORT. LET THE MUSIC TALK ECT. I'M WRITING IN UPPER CASE TO CONVEY THE SHEER LOUD HARDCORENESS OF THE TUNES I'M POSTING FREINDS. It's clear that the Trouble & Bass boys have no intention of slowing down anytime soon as their releases just keep getting better and better. This time around, we have a driving, bass-heavy, monster of a track from their golden boy, MathHead from his recently released EP, "Against All Odds", on Trouble & Bass Records. This is by far my favorite release from T&B. Its got the wobbly basslines that we've come to expect, just the right amount of boompty house, clean as fuck edits, and four tracks that each have their own [...]

David Bruno is back with his second weekly installment of 'the week in dance'.... ---- Thanks to everyone who came out and got busy at Element on Friday night. People Don't Dance No More is off to a roaring start. Stay tuned for news on the February 23 edition! SYIP @ Club Element, NYC | Jan 5, 2007 Last week I highlighted the [...]

By Luke Barber-Smith This week, The Editors were kind enough to select us to hook you all up with an exclusive Pase Rock remix of "Munich" that didn't make it onto their great new iTunes only remix EP [cop it for $4] , which features mixes by SebastiAn, Ghislain Poirier, and more. They put us in good company, too; they're giving away the other three mixes that didn't make the EP over at stereogum (a fire Trackademics mix), brooklynvegan , and tripwire [...]

Odd title, yes. I do enjoy however the respect and hospitality the Ancient Greeks would bestow upon travelers and guests and look openly to it in current time. Zeus would have it no other way. Hence, I would just like to comment on how I have had great experiences with contacting DJs for information on just about everything. Ayres has hooked me up with getting tickets to their New years Eve show, which was ridiculous, Devro has commented on his sick bangkok shirt, all of the Rub and Catchdubs answering [...]
