Money Team Hope everyone had a solid Turkey day. If you've been under a rock, the NBA is back on and I might actually get to see the Knicks do some damage in the playoffs, even if they're in October. November's HGH is on the horizon so stay tuned. Su tutti " Big city life " del 2005, numero uno in cinque paesi, compresa l'Italia. Ebbene, Roudette è uno dei due componenti del duo ed oggi esordisce come solista. Non si sono sciolti ufficialmente, i Mattafix , ma sicuramente la produzione "di coppia" dei due componenti ha subito una sosta per dare avvio [...]

Please be patient and please don't submit multiple times I will get to it. Thanks. I hope everyone has been having a great past couple of weeks. I will be back on the grind in July that is when I'll be done with this stuff and i'll be back 100% so please just hang in there just a tiny [...]

This track makes for giddy blood&bones even when you don't live in the big city. Good for walkin', talkin', runnin' sunnin', sippin' and scholastic pursuits. Download: Big City Life - Mattafix
I told you I would be back on Sunday even though my weekend was pretty epic. I got to go back stage at ZEDS DEAD and party with DC and Hooks. Yeah YOU HEARD ME. Epic weekend. Now lets stop being jealous and get ready for some delicious bass that I have prepared for you, with some [...]
We're half way through the "Music that Got Me Blogging About Music" and it's only up hill.. down hill.. get's better from here. In this portion we will be covering the groups from abroad. Additionally, they're all not from hip-hop, though they do incorporate hip-hop elements and occasionally rap. The list was only gonna have 4 artists covered on here, the final five (Part 5) took the best from here, but I decided to add one on because a few of his songs were very present in my life back when. [...]

Alright, time for a mashup of epic proportions. We've got Queen, Metallica, Bassnectar, and Shaun Boothe. Mhm-that covers classic and hard rock, dubstep, and rap. How in the hell could anybody combine so much music and still make it sound good? I'll be honest with you-I have no idea how this turned out as well as it did, but damn. Just...damn. Ladies and gentlemen, I'd like to introduce you to Stylust Beats. It's time to get diiiiiiiiirty. Poor Boy is really impressive all around, weaving in and out of genres and songs with finesse. I've [...]

January was a huge month for us at the metropolitan jolt. On the 23rd we celebrated our first birthday. We posted every single single day, and sometimes more (whoops). We grew to a team of seven authors. Also, our traffic increased immensely. We received 80,000 page views and over 250,000 hits for January alone! It has been our tradition on the first of every month to look back at the previous month and re-introduce the most popular tracks. In the past we took the top five tracks and ranked them based on how many times they were listened [...]
Another song that snuck by in 2007 but we just dug out now tahnks to the shiftiness of Ari Sussman, delivering this and the next song remixed by the Glitch Mob. Mattafix have delivered some other classics but seem to have slowed down since 2008. Check their Website for any update to that generalization. Mattafix - "Living Darfur"

It's pretty quiet here, just after noon on a rare sickday at home. The kids are at school, as they should be; the wife is off with a friend, doing some last minute shopping for Friday's opening night. One of the cats - I can never tell them apart - curls up next to me on the couch; the dog rests on the chair opposite, her eyes closed, her breathing gentle in sleep. And though the phone rings occasionally, startling in the overwhelming silence, I've turned off the music, the better to hear the rare [...]

If you've been playing along, you already know that we're blogging from the road as we drive North up the California coast, with a day or two each in Eugene and Portland before we head homeward a week from today. In fact, if today goes as planned, we'll be wand'ring (and camping) amidst the redwoods as this post goes live. As is our tradition here on Cover Lay Down, our immersion in the culture and landscape of a particular vacation region has precipitated a series of features which connect our coverfolk mandate to [...]
![[Listen] – #MusicMonday – 20 Songs Of The Week – April 12th](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/2472624_lg.jpg)
If you're unaware of what Music Monday is, it's a Twitter recommendation system where users of Twitter share their favourite music, artists, genres, etc in order to not only find new music themselves but help others find new music too. Using the hashtag (#) followed by "MusicMonday" you can easily find new music posted by the thousands of people making recommendations each week. Every #MusicMonday I upload a playlist of 20 songs that I've been listening to (new and old) over the [...]

Today I decided that all future posts will be written in english . I hope this choice won't disappoint any of you... I must admit that it was very difficult for me to choose less than 10 songs among the mass of first-class releases. Anyway, to make short , here are the few tracks that I ve selected for you : Booka Shade - Charlotte (Dubfire Remix ) [ MIRROR ]// MSP Dubfire (US) Just keep an eye on him! [...]
I honestly believe my shuffle play was in-tune with my mood, as most of today's tracks are soft or smooth or reeking of beachy nostalgia. (No, I have no idea what I'm talking about either!) It looks as if this post is dominated by indie radio covers and tributes. 16 Horsepower "Single Girl, Married Girl" (The Carter Family cover) My pal Ryan is in a band that opened for another band whose members used to be in 16 Horsepower. He texted me the other night to ask if [...]

(photos from China, the [much] larger gallery is here ) So this will be my last post from China. As you might guess from the headline, it has not been all smooth sailing over here. But it has been a great trip and a beautiful country. Seeing my sister for the first time in almost a year was awesome. I also met some pretty cool travelers, which reminded me one of the reasons why I like doing this in the first place. Although I think I'm done climbing mountains for a while. The list picks [...]

The sound of poeple piling the cold on the summer's ice cream. Pink, purple, blue lights & strobes instead of sunshine. Keeping it familiar, daft punkfunky house but with enough twists & turns to keep you alert. Various elements of the song play Frogger with the others, each in turn, techno-dos-i-do-ing across the track. It's demure, never fully spinning around, just in patient 3/4 turns. Plus girls like it. I like that Modular's signees seem to get a free trip to Australia and a cutbanggangvan shetechcopymodu-makeover (in lovely Tsubi prints, [...]
