The indie dance duo embraces the idea of awkward family photos, making some pretty interesting wardrobe choices. "Bands do videos where they look good in them," vocalist/keyboardist Matt Johnson says. "We've done our best to look terrible. We're not wearing white turtlenecks because it's our new thing."

The Brooklyn band behaved like they were headliners...and in return the packed Liberty Hall crowd treated them as such. Matt & Kim’s new album, Lightning , perhaps considerably more sophisticated than past efforts, but upbeat party songs are still what they do best. “Let’s Go” is the band’s latest positive, anthemic single, and it comes complete with handclaps, slinky synth riffs, and power chants.
