So here's my favorites of 2009 post. Not necessarily the best tracks released this year, but they're among the most played for me. I'm not gonna comment on each one since I've probably already done it on the blog before. I will say that it's been an absolutely crazy year as far as electronic music goes. 2008 couldn't touch 2009 and I'm sure the same will be said next year. Some new speculation has hit the blogosphere of newly, unnamed, supposed duo MayBB . It is said to be Benny Benassi and his brother Alle's new alias. Which is highly probable based on the hate Benassi has received lately. An excellent new way to re-invent himself. Mystery Street Meat Italian duo hooks up with elusive producer who wishes not to be named either in an attempt to pull a Fake Blood or to hide from the spotlight entirely. do you like the new(ish) kitsune maison compilation ? i do.. after a few lacklustre comps, i think this one is a bit of a return to form.. there seems to be a happy, carefree nature running through all the tracks which in turn makes me happy and carefree. one of the most interesting tracks on the comp is 'xtatic truth' by crystal fighters .. the exotic eastern guitar and chanty monotoned vocals are absolutely fresh.. and if a song can have an aura, then xtatic truth's aura would be directly connected to the local [...]
