A newish split 73 from Me You Us Them and Bloody Knives sets Brooklyn vs. Austin on an electropunky shoegazey slab of wax. Just a brief warning, this can be a bit harsh. Listen. Streamable: Research / I Was Talking To Your Ghost 73 (bandcamp) Me You Us Them look something like this: You can (and let's face it, probably should) buy stuff @ store.meyouusthem.com . It's time to listen to a bunch of the tracks I have not posted recently. Here is the next NOT POSTED mix. These are just a few of the songs that would get there own individual posts on here on GIMME TINNITUS, if I only had the time. This time it's not just remixes. Listen. BBC staple, Me You Us Them , hit us with the news of their new Split 73 Bloody Knives. The MYUT track, "Research," finds the band pushing the limits of indie rock with a hard, fast, furious sound. Their friends, Bloody Knives , keeps the pace up, but with much different flair. Their track, "I Was Talking To Your Ghost" has this very thick ambient sound with airy vocals droning synth, defintiely a great counter part to the MYUT track. If you want to pick up the vinly copy, check out the details from Tiple Down... [...]

I'll admit it. We fell into the same trap that every magazine and blog on the planet did. The self-indulgent, we-know-what-you-should-like-b etter-than-you-do Best Albums of 2010 list. Here at TDOA headquarters, we'd like to think that we've given you some names that weren't familiar and provided you with some surprises. But at the end of the day, who better to assess the state of music than the musicians themselves? So, we reached out to every band that we interviewed in 2010 and asked them to give us their favorite albums of the year. [...]

It's been a really miserable day, weather-wise, in Austin today, so it's only fitting that I'm here to give a shout-out to one of Austin's rising bands, Bloody Knives . The group is a duo, and deal predominantly with sort of an electronic rock element, but not in a cheesy manner. There is an underlying sense of urgency, accompanied by doom in the driving beats, yet the melodic vocals that pop in and out of the track below provide the perfect bit of balance for listeners. You can, and should, get your hands on this [...]

It's really been a great year for music. We've waxed poetic about great bands like The Prids, so when we heard about a band that was hotly tipped by them, we scrambled to our 8-track players and turned the volume up to 11. New York City continues to churn out a zillion bandsthatpitchforkloves every day. So when we tell you that Me You Us Them is our favorite new band from the NYC, we recognize the magnitude of the compliment. Kevin Shields could only dream of creating a masterpiece like this, which blends his MBV sense [...]

I can't for the life of me remember what led me to end up sifting through the Triple Down Records website, home of Me You Us Them . All I can recall is that it most definitely was not because of these guys, but eventually I ended up getting hooked on a couple samples from them. One being "Iron Tongue" from their EP in 08, however I've come to realize how inferior that song is when stacked up against practically everything contained on their debut LP Post-Data , [...]

Brooklyn indie rockers Me You Us Them are set to release their forthcoming full-length, Post-Data , on April 27th through Triple Down Records . The first single from the album, "Any Time," is a real gem of a track that grabs you from the 1st second with a melee of distorted guitar sound effects that lead into a sultry indie pop jam that finds the band pushing the limits of indie rock. This track is a departure from the stuff they put out on their Ep [...]
