"Travel across borders, across water, being short on my cash flow's a tall order." I gave you guys the run down on the 35-piece band, Quakers, back when I posted their debut single, "Fitta Happier" featuring Guilty Simpson and MED. Today we have the video for "Fitta Happier" featuring Guilty Simpson and MED kicking it band style in suits and fitteds. Watch the clip below, and if you dig it, pick up Quakers' 41-track debut LP via Stones Throw .
" Fitta Happier ," a track from Portishead production mastermind Geoff Barrow's indie-rap project Quakers, features Stones Throw all-stars Guilty Simpson and M.E.D. rocking over a sample of a marching band covering Radiohead's "The National Anthem." Fittingly, the video finds the two formal-dressed rappers and a similarly attired set of drummers and horn players. Barrow is nowhere to be found. Eric Coleman directs. Watch it below. Read More...

Quakers - the trio of Katalyst, Portishead's Geoff Barrow, and engineer Stuart Matthews - released a gem of an album this spring in their self-titled debut. While it will likely get slept on by way too many heads, hopefully videos like this one for "Fitta Happier" can turn that around. With a (fitting) brass cover of Radiohead's "The National Anthem" behind them, Stones Throw cohorts Guilty Simpson and MED talk all sorts of shit and look pretty sharp to boot. You can watch the video below.

Stones Throw's M.E.D. and Odd Future's Hodgy Beats released the video for their track "Outta Control" produced by the legendary Madlib. The video is fully animated except the MCs and the extra peoples, like a small appearance from Left Brain, but the animation definitely makes this video one of the dopest I've seen in a while. The drugged out Hunter S. Thompson-esque animations fit the track perfectly and the flows of both M.E.D. and Hodgy are on point as usual. Check the video above...
MED and Hodgy Beats head into an animated world full of weird shit for this new video for Outta Control. The song is off MED's latest album Classic which dropped last year

"Like Barry White on the low key." M.E.D.'s 2011 release, Classic , got a lot of play in my stereo last fall. One of the stand out cuts was "Outta Control", which features Hody Beats of Odd Future and production from Madlib. Beats and rhymes are both dope on this record, and I dig the inter-generational pairing of L.A. Hip Hop that's going on as well. The record now also has a stand out video to accompany it, as director Henry DeMaio and his team take M.E.D. and Hodgy into a crayon acid trip, that is all [...]
Yeah, M.E.D. isn't exactly the most exciting rapper in the game, but he sure does know how to associate with the right people. Like his industry-leading label, Stones Throw, one of hip-hop's best producers in Madlib, and buzzing MC Hodgy Beats. We actually heard the audio for this song months ago , but today the Oxnard rapper comes correct by way of animated visuals. The video is creative and loopy, as is anything from Stones Throw, but that is exactly why we love them. M.E.D.'s Classic is out now.

Stones Throw just released the official video for M.E.D. feat. Hodgy Beats song entitled Outta Control. A Great collabo with Madlib on the beat. A gem for sure not to be missed. Peep more from Hodgy Beats on the Odd Future Vol. 2 tape.
For some time now, Stones Throw has been one of my favorite labels. They feature DOOM, Mayer Hawthorne, the late Charizma and Jay Dee, Madlib, and Aloe Blacc just to name a few. How can you not like the club? It's purely an all star cast, and when you watch their videos they're definitely some of the most creative. They kept up their uniqueness in this new video from M.E.D. Damn, this video is dope.
The prolific Madlib produces this joint for fellow Stonesthrow cohort M.E.D. Hodgy drops in for a hotish verse as well.

March 14, 2012 marked the Official 2012 SXSW Showcase presented by Quality Control Marketing and FLUD watches. The Malaia Upstairs was packed all night to a classic hiphop lineup featuring Murs, Nottz and DMP, MED and more. Shot and Produced by Erick Lee

"We just signed the lease Thursday," the adorable twenty-something proprietor of Wardenclyff told me while we waited for another noise band to start. "Wardenclyff" was once a tiny house that had been abused and then abandoned by its previous owners—the inside had stained dry scratchy hardwood floors and a useless sink in the middle of the room. Now, poof!, it's suddenly an art gallery, with graffiti lining the walls inside and out, and a homemade quilt over the windows to keep out the sun. Despite the primitive accommodations, they had a grassy parking lot and a backyard and [...]
