Last year Summer Camp released their rather charming debut album Welcome To Condale , a hommage to lo-fi indie, analogue synth-pop and John Hughes movies. It was, we think, a rather overlooked little gem of a record. Well now the British duo are readying the release of their Always EP and here is it's title. There is an eery vibe to the song's verses, before a primary coloured chorus wrestles the song back into more familiar Summer Camp territory. As always, the voices of Jeremy Warmsley and Elizabeth Sankey melt together [...]

We got a lotta love for The National here. They've been a little quiet of late though. But now they are kind of back with an appearance on the soundtrack of Game of Thrones. 'The Rains of Castomere' starts with Matt Berninger's deep rumble all alone before being joined by swelling horns and synths. No room for drums or guitar here folks. Game Of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin wrote the lyrics himself, with Berninger adding his baritone vocal to it.

"A far more personal record than we're used to from Mayer that embelishes the more subtle elements of his songwriting..." John Mayer | Born & Raised John Mayer's Battle Studies was a difficult record for him. Released in 2009 against the backdrop of the disintegration of his relationship to Jennifer Aniston it was an album on which Mayer sounded disengaged and bored, bizarre considering he was singing what was potentially the most personal stuff of his career. That he, in a painfully unhinged interview with Rolling Stone that was largely spent talking [...]

Here's another track that will be featured on the second MMG compilation Self Made Vol. 2 . Rozay and company have leaked a few tracks so far and it sounds just as good as Vol. 1 . Meek Mill and Wale enlist French Montana for a hard track called "Actin Up". Good to know the addition of Omarion to their team hasn't made the rest of the squad soften up. MEEK MILL & WALE FEAT. FRENCH MONTANA - ACTIN UP

Hip-Hop, reggae, and dubstep. Three styles that are becoming integrated into a new musical movement and experiment of sound. Yesterday, the movement gained speed with the first single off Cypress Hill & Rusko 's upcoming collaborative EP, a track called "Can't Keep Me Down." Damian Marley is featured on the track, showing once again that he's in big support of dubstep and it's creative potential. Give it a listen: Can't Keep Me Down (Feat. Damian Marley) - Cypress Hill x Rusko Rusko is on top of his [...]

Here's a new (but not new) Zeds Dead track that has been in their back pockets for a few months, but thankfully, they've decided it's time for the track to see the light of day. The tune may have been played at a Zeds Dead show or two from time to time, but for most, this track remained unheard - until now. "Toot Toot" draws you in with soulful & seductive vocals then jumps into your skin with mid-tempo synths & ambient bass kicks. A signature sound unlike any other: chill out, dub out, Zeds Dead style. [...]

"An album of largely impenetrable, rather charmless songs..." The Temper Trap | The Temper Trap The Temper Trap's 2009 debut, Conditions , was a surprise. Not in its sound or scope - both went to the epic, Coldplay-endorsed shimmer-rock well to fill its bucket – but in the sense that it contained one of those rare enormo modern rock singles in 'Sweet Disposition' yet somehow, due to diligent songwriting and strength in depth, didn't get completely overshadowed by its one monster smash. Coming almost three years after its predecessor the group [...]

"Discovering someone's music at an early stage is more organic. There's still a very personal attachment to it..." - Paul Thomas Saunders. It can be rather disconcerting when an artist of tender years is described as 'mature'. Often a byword for boring, pretentious or old before their time, it could, for a 22-year-old songwriter be seen as criticism. But let make this very clear early doors yes? Paul Thomas Saunder - a fresh-faced emerging talent that knows his way around reverb-drenched, acoustic-lead dream-pop - possesses a sound that can only be described as mature. Due to the [...]

For someone who hasn't dealt out a drum & bass tune in over a decade, Kaskade still seems to have a pretty good handle on the genre. Today, he revealed his latest sensational pop-hit; a bright, upbeat and radio ready Katy Perry remix. So far his fans seem to have mixed feelings about this unfamiliar approach from their favorite progressive house producer, but I think there's really no doubt about the quality of this song. Taking a song that is so poppy and transforming it into something that both EDM & popular music fans can enjoy should not [...]

Name a genre sexier then moombahton. With it's worldly influences, up tempo beats, purely intoxicating builds, and a relentless dance-till-you-drop attitude, there is no equal. As more producers pick up on the style and add their own histories to the mix, the music just doesn't stop coming. So, every Sunday on BounceBug, we'll be dialing up a sizzling round of tracks to you fans that will showcase just how wildly fun this moombahton movement naturally is. Let's start the fuego. Time to turn up the heat on your Sunday evening. This week we lead off with [...]
When creating truly great whateverstep it's not so much how filthy fuckin' grime you can make your bass drop, but instead how you can use that bass drop to fuse into the rest of the song, into the rest of what inspires you, the bassline is not the central force behind to song, but instead a tool in which to convey a message. Ableton master and "Pantysoak Dropstep" dynamo, LA's Kill Paris creates this fusion absolutely perfectly. After only releasing for a few years, this up and comer is definitely worth lending an ear. [...]
YAYYY AREAAAA!!!! There's nothing better than a good old Northern California, high school throwpack, it's almost as good as going to high school during the Hyphy movement itself, which was pretty effing great if I don't say so myself. Although Hyphy has become a comforting warmth shaded in drunken late night nostalgia, it is grand to see that Stunnaman and Lil B of The Pack can still spit smoothly over Star Slinger 's busy, chunky thumper of a beat. Bad Bitches (Feat. Stunnaman & LIL B) – Star Slinger [ Click to [...]
Here's to house music. A genre that thrives with millions of producers exuding a wide array of styles and sounds. Some fall short of the standard and others propel themselves far ahead of the pack, we're focused on the latter. Every week, sometimes twice, this segment will bring you three brand new, exasperatingly good house tracks to stock up your music library. All we ask is that if you find yourself infatuated with a track, support the artist in their future releases and buy a little something. [...]
