Check out this stately, slumberous rock number, the title-track from London band Colours , part of a three-track 73 due out on Marshall Teller next month. It's a limited run of only 250 vinyl presses, with a bonus MP3 thrown in for good measure. (via SEXBEAT ) COLOURS // Drip Haze Colours are also playing a couple of good-sounding gigs imminently: supported by Crushed Beaks at The Drop on Saturday 28 January, and then a free-entry release-celebration night, with help from Dignan [...]

This is super nice. A compilation of almost 2 dozen mellow chill beats. No idea who put this together; I'll try and find out cos I wanna give him or her some credit. Found this on Mark Aubert's Facebook page (who's featured in this), check our previous mentions of him here and watch this space for a new drop from him real soon. Also features Ichiro_, check out his previous stuff too , and Repeat Pattern, Dil Withers, and a load more. [...]

Deptford Goth 's track Time is stupendous - a druggy, fuzzed-up cry for health, a desperate injection of Benzedrine that fails to quieten the voices, a beautiful swim in a percussion sea that's tinged with the knowledge of its impending end, a lov- yes, yes, you're thinking, but where the duck is this song?? I want to listen to this hot sauce while you froth on about it! Well you can't. Or rather, you can, but not here. The only place that you can on the internet, as far as I know, is Tim Noakes' October playlist [...]
![The MTHDS – Partay : Chill New Hip Hop [TSIS PREMIERE]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3994866_lg.jpg)
Today I've got a new track from a group I've featured before on last year's Snow Ball mixtape . Well they've been continuing to craft and refine their sound. Now they've got a style that's similar to Slightly Stoopid or The Expendables, which makes sense as their supporting their entire upcoming tour. Check out this TSIS premiere of their new track Partay. Enjoy! The MTHDS - Partay | Direct Download | Mediafire
Today I've got two sick chilled out hip hop tracks from LA based Azad Right. He's got a very unique sounding mellow flow. It's not the stoned Wiz Khalifa kind of chill, but his own unique style. The music video is for his song Spiderwebs, which has a very catchy female vocal sample and piano line. Just from the beat the song starts off with an almost sad tone, then Azad comes in with his flow setting the song off. I don't typically like songs talking about love, but this one works surprisingly well. Azad Right - Spiderwebs [...]

Today I've got another new track from PA based Tayyib, this time hooking up with Chicago rising star Rockie Fresh for another collab. We featured their first collab, Shit I Know (Remix) and it got some good response. Well this is no different, it's got that laid back straight hip hop vibe. Mellow beat produced by Jahlil Beats (Who just got signed to Roc Nation), with both rappers going in on it spitting some solid flow. Check it out, chill, enjoy! Tayyib Ali ft. Rockie Fresh - Shit I Know | Direct [...]

Today I'm stoked to bring you the latest single from Mansions on the Moon of their upcoming Lightyears EP, produced by hip hop legend Pharrell. We've already got a sampling of thew new EP with Desert Island and Leaves Fall . This track is a more folk sounding track powered by acoustic guitar, really giving it a warm feel. This very well made track really shows the versatility of the group. This track is sure to put you in a good mood, turn it up, enjoy! Mansions on the Moon - Rest of [...]
Today I've got another refreshing glass of North Western hip hop from the artist Sol. We just featured his Stage Dive track and it was one of the coolest, chillest sounding hip hop tracks I had heard in awhile, and this follows the same pattern that fellow seatlle based Macklemore and Ryan Lewis do so well. It's got a great live instrument hip hop beat, then Sol spitting some real words, with some real meaning. He's one of the few rappers out there actually speaking on some stuff that makes you think a little. Check it out, stay [...]

Click here for download Song: Mimicking Birds - Walking In The Air [download here ] What's so good? This beautiful track "Walking In The Air" was uncovered by The Music Ninja a couple days back. The song itself is a wonderful folk escapade, with soothing vocals and varied instrumentation. Mimicking Birds, a [...]
It's been a giddy weekend, but my energy levels are now consequently somewhere south of zero. Luckily, Echo Lake's snoozy, spectral cover of Ariel Pink is to hand, and I can just drift along with that for a while... [There is a video that cannot be displayed in this feed. Visit the blog entry to see the video.]

Float giddily into the weekend with Beaty Heart 's recent single Slush Puppy - indie, but gone all nice and hazy... (part of a self released EP, Slush Puppy / Cola ). [There is a video that cannot be displayed in this feed. Visit the blog entry to see the video.]
Stressful day? And relax…

Hailing from oop north but now sensibly based in London, singer Fairewell produces songs with a soothing, yesteryear charm. Born Under A Bad Sign lies somewhere between the poles of pop and rock, its hazy jangles and understated vocals anchored by meatier riffs, which double up as a chorus. Ahhhh this is one of the nicest beats I have heard in a long, long time. Seriously, it's really really good. Mark Aubert: Tumblr • Facebook • Soundcloud • Bandcamp ~lork Tags: aubert , beat , chill , easy , hip , hop , Instrumental , jazz , mark , mellow , on , sample , smooth , yourself
Big fan of Denmark’s Music For Dreams over the past 10 years (as I am sure Kevin will testify), accumulating pretty much everything they’ve ever put out. Here’s a remix from one of their artists, Banzai Republic, a super limited, super super white label 12” that never got an *official* release.

Mansions on the Moon never dissapoints. I was very excited to listen to the track, it's the first single from their upcoming Lightyears EP. These are the guys who brought you the Paradise Falls mixtape, the singles Darkness , For Awhile , and the Foster the People Remix , they also even produced a track on the latest Mac Miller album. This track follows in the same direction, it's the perfect blend of electronic and live instruments for a very chill feel. It's very refreshing to hear [...]
Click image to download full album Sounds like: Explosions in the Sky, "Radiohead - Codex (Deadmau5 Cover)" What's so good? Forget the bangers that y associate Deadmau5 with. This is anything but. In fact, it's the smoothest landscape of synthesizers and keyboard that I've ever heard Joel Zimmerman pull together. "Codex" is the sixth track off King of Limbs , which [...]

Restless, I went outside and happened upon the death of the day. The sky was a shiny, sheer dark blue, the colour of freezing waterfalls, of bruises at their most tender, of the sea when it thinks no-one is looking. Over to the west it was slightly lighter, as it the last of the day had gathered in a corner like the last few guests at an crazy house party. But in the east darkness had triumphed, and was steadily advancing. Two joggers hurried by, chattering breathlessly. A slight wind ruffled the pavement's brown leaves, picking up a handful only to drop them seconds later, disinterested. It was still faintly warm. I [...]

Garage Electroncia So Essay and Stumbleine teamed up to make my favourite track at the moment. Each artist, distinctly are equally incredible. Essay, who primarily focuses on ambient electronica and Stumbleine, who focuses on deep garage electronica; together bring the perfect mix of styles to the table. Rhiannon is such a peaceful track full of just pure bliss. Such a touching tune. Listen to it if you ever get down on life. It can double as a nice pick-me-up, like your morning coffee. And to top it all off, Owsey and Nocow [...]
Another nice and mellow deep house track from Japan. Limited to 500 copies, this was released back in 2007 on Flower Records. It would seem that this is the only track Too Rooms have ever released. They should do more.
