Artist: Mercury (Switzerland)

When we first posted about Mercury in late December on their stunning Marvin Gaye edit it shot straight to number one on the Hype Machine charts and upon further inspection, you can see exactly why. So far it's predominantly been remixes and edits that have got these two Swiss producers a name for themselves and House music is the favourable genre though there's soul and classic disco hints in some of the beats, including this Jamiroquai one. I really like Catz N' Dogz . I saw them earlier this year with Tanner Ross (alongside Ari Frank, Daniel Andres and Savile) at a party in the meat packing district and they were incredible. Tanner Ross too. I didn't make it in time for the openers, but I'm sure they were great as well. It was an all around splendid night thanks to Openbox and MiM. Anyway, Catz N' Dogz have always been super consistent with the quality of their releases and this rework of Mercury's "You Lift Me Up" is strong evidence of that. [...]
