Disco these days is often overlooked and tossed aside as a genre that died with the 70s and 80s. But it's starting to build up popularity again. But if disco isn't your thing I highly recommend you listen to the Hold Tight track by Shook as it has some similarity to Toro Y Moi in a few aspects. The Krays-We're Ready When You Are (DJ Mehdi Mix) Shook-Hold Tight [...]

Kimbra)
Okay, I'm a few days late on dropping this mix. Been a crazy week at work and have had to work weekends a few weeks in a row, so I didn't have a ton of time to put the latest mix together. But with that said it's here!!! I tried to avoid using some of [...]

Today is a bittersweet story as it is with both sadness and joy that I present to you the 2011 conclusion to Ryan Radlers wonderful mixtape series, anti-winter 3 c. Week after week Ryan has given summer luxurious and comprehensive soundtrack setting a unique vibe for all our estival activities - Dear anti-winter, we'll miss you. When I use to perform classical music under the tutelage of the the late great Dr. Walter Turnbull we learned that clapping in between movements or grand pauses is inappropriate. That always fascinated me because Dr. T was an incredible teacher and got us sing classics like [...]
Empty seats, a clear floor, close curtains, and a deserted bar were the only things in sight upon arriving at the El Rey on Thursday night. No, it wasn't a dead night,...
I've just stumbled across this splendid mashup of Lady Gaga 's Telephone and Miami Horror 's Moon Theory (Punks Jumps Up Remix) created by 19-year-old DJ Flipboitamidles . He nicely blends the two tracks, and works in elements of A Dream Within a Dream by Glitch Mob and Martin Solveig 's Hello . He has even made his own beats for the Beyonce [...]

Aussie up-and-comers, Cadillac, have a new EP coming on October 24th on Future Classic. It's going to be good...very good! If you're a fan of dreamy synths and real guitar, then this band is for you. They just remixed Miami Horror's latest single, "Summersun," and I can feel the heat just listening to it. If only this came out a month or two ago, it would have been on steady rotation at the beach. Click here for a free download of it .

I booted up WordPress in order to start writing this post before even I'd even heard Cadillac which goes to show how much trust I have in the Australian label Future Classic and their acts/releases! Firstly their remix of Miami Horror which dropped only 10 days ago and has amassed over 18k plays on SoundCloud. It's a 7-minute sun-drenched edit which, given the fact the sun hasn't been seen in England for a few months now is an depressing as it is great. Miami Horror -- Summersun (Cadillac Remix) - right click, save [...]

Newly signed to Future Classic, Aussie band Cadillac just dropped the official video for their catchy summery tune "Dreams". The band's debut EP will be released on October 24th on vinyl and digital. Shot in California. Directed by Melinda James. Port-Bagages: mp3: Miami Horror: "Summersun" [Cadillac Remix]

Sunkissed Melbourne/Sydney band Cadillac premiered their first video, directed by Melinda James. "Dreams" features vocals by Joel Byrne from Wolf & Cub, and it's taken from band's debut Cadillac EP coming October 24 (double 123 vinyl and digital) on Future Classic. Cadillac also recently remixed Miami Horror's "Summersun". "Any track that opens with beach and wave samples is an automatic favourite for us – we hope the same rule applies for you." Oh, it does apply for me. It really does. [...]
Toronto - Opening for Empire of the Sun was another Australian synth-pop outfit - Miami Horror . The band had previously headlined a sold out show at the Mod Club in April. Due to the early start time of the headliners, the four piece outfit from Melbourne had the unfortunate task of opening up a show at 8pm to a rather sparse crowd. I made a note of that on my tweet. Undeterred by the small crowd, Benjamin Plant and the rest of the band soldered forth [...]

Frank Yang Some were disappointed when Empire Of The Sun's long-awaited Toronto debut on Tuesday night was moved from the lakeside Echo Beach venue to the generally loathed Sound Academy for undisclosed "production issues"; it turned out to be a blessing as the weather finally got the memo that Autumn was here and, well, it would have been awfully cold down outside on the water at Ontario Place. Plus, there was the novelty of having the show take place right across the street from where Cirque du Soleil had pitched their [...]
![Remix Roundup Vol. 51 – 9.13.2011 [Madonna, Dada Life, Matt & Kim, The Drums, and more...]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3719181_lg.jpg)
Welcome back TBE vets and greetings, bonjour, buenas noches, shalom, what's happening TBE infants. First, we're grateful for everyone of you. Second, we have a slight change in the Remix Roundup methodology I wanted to let you know about. Previously, we had been working from a Friday bi-weekly format that many of you have come very a accustomed to. But, as awesome as those Friday roundups were, keeping to that schedule sometimes proved to be quite difficult. Not to mention resulting in many Roundups being far too large. I decided to clean things up. [...]
