TALK LIKE THAT! This is my favorite song on the album and I am so happy it is the new single because it: 1. Has a video. 2. Gets it's own release which means more people will hear it. 3. Will be remixed by a shit load of people. The video is great. It's a hot French broad obsessed with The Presets. She is hot. Song is hot. The Presets are hot. Enjoy! The Presets - Talk Like That [...]
New video for The Presets' third single 'Talk Like That' due for release in September featuring remixes by Jence (Digitalism), Dave Spoon, Optimo, CFCF and more. The video was directed by Jonas and Francois, also responsible for Kanye West's 'The Good Life' & Justice's 'D.A.N.C.E'. It's a shame there's no illustrative input from So Me it would have been good to see slightly darker illustrations from his usual character. But, I guess the world and his mate want's So Me to work on their video so theres no point looking like everyone else. The [...]

i'm not a high-class retail outfit, but i'd love for you to steal my heart. wow, i really have to stop with my lame attempts at puns in the post titles. i can't help myself though - it's just so easy - and Totally Michael IS totally rad , after all. he's the kind of singer that will make you smile, laugh, reminisce, cry, "wtf?" and tap your feet all at the same time and that's not an easy feat. it takes a very special kind of artist to [...]

image: tuftsmania flickr My trusty steed of 4+ years has finally failed me. The backlight or inverter on my 173 Powerbook finally gave out and I'm left with a gimpy computer through which I cannot see the cyber world. I have finally gotten around to hooking up an external monitor and getting back to my normal daily grind. This happened just after vacation which would explain the insane delay in content between now and my last post. Hello everyone, I'm still here. [...]

I don't know why, but lately every other music block I check out has been posting The Black Kids ' remix of Lykke Li 's " I'm Good I'm Gone " like one of them just died. Since my sources tell me they are both alive, and the remix is far from new, I am going to assume its just to show up at the top of some mp3 blog aggregator. Well, in my opinion there are much better Lykke Li remixes out there, so I thought I'd do you all a little favor and post my two favs. First, check out this [...]

Don't call them kiwis. Whatever you do. Two of Australia's most sincere electro-fused hot jams creators are coming to the states together, with new releases in tow. Cut Copy , whose In Ghost Colours was granted an 8.8 by Pitchfork and The Presets (if we could only guarantee they could recreate the "My People" video live) will be co-headlining the tour that we are instantly going to finagle some Webster Hall tickets for that date and we suggest you find your city and do the same. Both [...]

Over the past few seasons, Streetkiss, the French culture website, has been compiling sounds of the winter, spring, summer etc. in the format of a playlist, comprising selections from across music blogga land. For the latest summer hits compilation, Kunk was asked to chime in, alongside others including IHEART , PalmsOut , Trash Menagerie , et. al. Who did we choose? Could you believe it was a French band? I know, me neither. Without further suspense, have a look HERE to see our pick along with the [...]

Nothing beats a good laugh so hopefully the above photo gave you a little chuckle. The work was done by Scott Van Den Plas and Joe Van Wetering , but I scooped it off of Wooster Collective . Have you checked them out before? You should. Nothing beats a good laugh (did I say that already?) or something that really challenges every day ideas. Go check them out after you take a listen to these: mp3: Kanye West - Stronger (A-Trak Remix) mp3: Ladyhawke - Paris Is Burning [...]

Only on the internets kids could something like this make the news rounds. Well, maybe just our news rounds, but whatever. Seems like reading this "letter" (it's more of a poem or monologue or rant or self-aggrandizing hater attempt) turned into quite an experience for us as we have no idea why this came about and really who Jay Escobara is in relation to Falke . We know he writes a bunch and shoots a bunch for RVNG (reviews and shit), but is this a review? Anyway, here's some of the what we [...]

Okay this track is pretty strong when it comes to DJ/producer and over all indie-blog-star-power . The original track is by Australians PNAU featuring the very pretty and talented Ladyhawke from New Zealand. There's not one but two producers on the remix. Another Australian, Miami Horror , known for laying down savoury beats over just about anything jumps into their hands. Finally, French touch God Fred Falke throws in his own influence finishing off this awesome track. Thanks Disco Dust . [...]

I'm starting a new feature here at MOCIAS. It's called artist appreciation and it'll probably happen once or twice a week. The first on my list is none other than the funky bassline machine, aka Fred Falke . You're all familiar with his work, I hope, so I'll let the tunes do the talking. Roland Clark and the Montanas - Music Talking (Fred Falke Remix) ( MP3 ) Eric Prydz - Pjanoo (Fred Falke Remix) ( MP3 ) Lykke Li - I'm Good, I'm Gone (Fred Falke Remix) ( MP3 ) Pnau ft. Ladyhawke - Embrace (Fred [...]

lastnightsparty So I'm looking for mixes. I've missed two Mixtape Saturdays so far because I haven't found anything I've liked. It's mostly my fault cause I've raised my standards way too high with mixes these days. You'll have to deal with three remixes at the end of this week. First, I saw this in my mailbox for some reason the Fred Falke and Miami Horror remix of our fellow Aussies Pnau featuring Ladyhawke . Absolutely love it, very Australian or funky [...]

I don't use the computer for a couple of days and I miss out on one of the best remixes of the year that is my favorite song of last year. Damn you every other electro blog out there. HERE IT IS! PNAU - Embrace ft. Ladyhawke (Fred Falke + Miami Horror Remix) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Where to begin. Well lets start with the new Guns 'n' Bombs mixtape, number 4 it is. It's not a mixtape in the same vein as the others are as it's a live set from the Apollo. The mix doesn't feature any new originals or remixes by the group, but well worth the download. I'll post the tracklist in the comments section. Mixtape #4 [...]

(more...)

Australian glitter pumpers PNAU have been heavily bloggable for a while now, more artcore than hardcore their track Embrace is a delicious synth pop track that swirls and dreams across a dancefloor like ABBA on acid. It's now been given a bit of a banger make over from a Fred Falke and Miami Horror collaboration... but in a very sympathetic way. The intro has been beefed up and the synths punch heavier over Ladyhawke's ethereal vocals... I perfer the original but why [...]

PNAU is an Australian duo with a knack for making catchy dance-pop tunes and doing entirely too much acid. Well, I don't know if they really do acid or not, but check out this video of them appearing on Australia's version of " Good Morning America " called " Sunrise " and it will be hard to not wonder why they aren't in straight jackets. Lucky for us though, PNAU haven't been committed (yet), and are still pumping out their original brand of light hearted electro-pop. The Miami Horror / Fred Falke remix of their latest collaboration [...]

Oh-Death It's already a beautiful song but Fred Falke and Miami Horror have worked their synth magic and produced this dreamy 80's version of Pnau's Embrace featuring the delectable Ladyhawke.
