Micachu (pronounced mee-cah-chew) is Mica Levi. She's 21 years old and already making fuzzed-up, lo-fi pop tunes that warm the soul. She (and her band) signed to Rough Trade Records in January and released their debut album, Jewellery, a few months later. Previously this year, both Micachu & The Shapes and Fool's Gold delivered some great tunes. Micachu's album Jewellery took some time to grow on me, but it's becoming a solid contender for the end of year's Best Of list.
