Foxygen - Why Did I Get Married? "I'm late, I know. Unfashionably. I was, like, five minutes away and I got lost so I kind of cruised, started checking out the houses in your neighbourhood. Bit posh. Wait – is that . . . did, did you put out cheese and crackers? What the fuck? Whatever. Just point me to the beer. How's the party? Who showed up? Oh, seriously? She came? I wouldn't have picked that. I guess that's cool. You should put the moves on her, man. Like Mick Jagger, [...]
Filed under: News , I Fought the Law Jason Kempin, Getty Images Bianca Jagger has had her fair share of legal troubles in the past year. As Spinner previously reported, the ex-wife of Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger owed over $300,000 in legal fees and back rent from a dispute with her New York City landlord. Now the lady Jagger is trying to dodge a finder's fee. [...]

Last week I posted about Carly Simon's song You're So Vain which was the #1 single for the first couple of weeks in 1973. In that post, I mentioned that a famous rock star could be heard singing background vocals on the song. I challenged my readers to name that vocalist but no one responded so I will have to reveal who was sitting in on the song myself. Drum Roll please............Mick Jagger provided background vocals on the song! Who Carly was singing about remains a mystery. As you can see from the cover of the [...]
In a not-so-cryptic move, Coachella organizers posted a photo of a large round (or rolling?) stone today on the event's Facebook page, seemingly confirming the rumors that the legendary Rolling Stones will be headlining the Indio, CA festival this April. As Rolling Stone tells us, if the Stones do perform at Coachella it will be their first US festival appearance since Altamont way back in 1969. Mick Jagger and crew have already been gearing up for potential 2013 dates with a few major shows celebrating the group's 50th anniversary in 2012. We're definitely expecting more - Keith [...]

Se trata de “As Tears Go By” , escrita por Mick Jagger , Keith Richards y Andrew Loog Oldham , publicada originalmente el 18 de diciembre de 1965. Además, el cover viene acompañado de un video [...]
Exciting news from the NME : The Beatles, Mick Jagger and Robbie Williams are among the names being considered to appear on the new £10 banknote, it has been revealed. Except, that's not quite true. What has happened is the Bank Of England has released a list of 150 names which have been suggested by members of the public as brilliant ideas for who should be on the ten pound note. The NME might believe this is the BOE considering the names; I suspect the real reason the list has been released is so that [...]

The Rolling Stones are the most legendary rock and roll band on the planet. While they were introduced as such over 40 years ago when they played across the river at Madison Square Garden, there was no such introduction on December 8 th as they took the stage at Brooklyn’s Barclay’s Center. I can only guess that there is a simple reason for this: everyone knows it already. The Rolling Stones certainly proved it that night as they blasted through a 23 song set list that highlighted some of their most monumental hits. Such a tour de force could [...]
On Saturday night, the dream team of Lady Gaga and the Rolling Stones did not fail to disappoint audiences during the final concert in the band’s One More Shot tour , a celebration of 50 years together . Fans went gaga when Mother Monster took to the stage and belted “Gimme Shelter” as the boys rocked out at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Always having a flair for the dramatic, a long-haired Gaga, looking like Ziggy Stardust-esque space invader and outfitted in a [...]
Filed under: Concerts and Tours , News Dave Allocca, AP Fifty years. That's five times as long as the Beatles ' career, and quite a bit longer than most other bands (or marriages). Rock 'n' roll was meant to explode and fall apart, so how humanoids like Keith Richards , Mick Jagger and company have survived the ringer this long remains a mystery. Nevertheless, better the world's greatest rock band make it to 50 [...]

The Rolling Stones are doing shows on the East Coast all week - a couple in Brooklyn last weekend, then the 12-12-12 appearance Wednesday night, then two shows in New Jersey tonight and Friday. Nice work if you can get it. The New York Times wrote: What is a Stones show? Musically, now that they’re in their 50th year and a long time before now, it doesn’t seem to be so much about the performances you’re actually hearing in real time. It’s an oldies show that can become a flickering re-enactment ritual: [...]
Filed under: Concerts and Tours , News Larry Busacca, Getty Images for Clear Channel Getting people to part with their hard-earned money isn't an easy thing. When it comes to putting on a benefit concert, you'll have to pull out some heavy artillery. The 12-12-12 Concert for Sandy Relief did just that, with some unforgettable moments. Sure, at times it felt overstuffed, which is pretty unavoidable for five and a half hours. Paul McCartney [...]
