Suicide Sundaes – stop your grinnin' and drop your linen. Every Sunday electblake of Earmilk will bring you the weeks dirty servings, and some old favorites through a throwdown-throwback to simpler times. A time when bangers were big, remixes were bigger, the bassline bled, and we didn't care about anything as long as came in kicking and left screaming. To hell with sketchy Sunday, we want to shove another dragon down the hole. I'm under the gun here so we'll spare the backstory of our journey and cut right to the chase. We Are Bro [...]

Facebook Botnek (Gordon & Erick) are a DJ/production team from Montreal, Canada. The duo has been slowly combining tech-house, dutch-house and afrobeat into the perfect recipe for masterpieces. Their music has a lot of "bleeps and bloops" as they would call them, which makes for an interesting listen every time. Their first EP Plonk is set to release this May and as the teaser below shows, its going to be one gem you won't want to miss. :: BeatauCue - Behold (Botnek Remix) :: [ ►►►► [...]

Tunawax is the 2010 Intercontinental Dryhump Champions. But rather than hold it over your heads, we're giving back…Finely picked dance tracks to go cotton to cotton with. He handled physical details as if there were nothing beyond them; yet spiritualized them all, and redeemed himself from materialism by his strong and eager aspiration towards the infinite. In his grasp the veriest clod of earth assumed a soul - Hawthorn Dryhump Champion : Micro Prophet - Thunderbird (Tape Deck Bros Remix) (don lowed)

I was on the decks, blasting some MGMT remix to [...]

So tonight i can finally get round to uploading my set from Eclecticity last month. I blame Chris for taking so long! Although to be fair he has done a really good job of converting the set and keeping the audio quality at a good level (it's around 260 kbps). Before anyone gets the wrong idea and thinks this is actually the live gig audio, it's not. It hasn't been a miked up recording and caught audience noise, buzzing bass and crackly beats and all the other crap that comes along with it. No, what he done was simply record [...]

Micro Prophet are the Ottawa'ian duo who are itching to release the Thunderbird EP , of which we've gotten some samples. First up to bat we have the busy Barletta going house on the track. This house take on the track is solid of a set-maker as your going to find. It's a spiritual thing, a body thing, a soul thing. After Barletta we've heard of some other artists filling the batting order. We'll find ourselves with a Bass Machines remix and then something from our [...]

So, I don't think Ottawa is really up on a hill but hey - they do want your vote. Micro Prophet apparently crew up together in the small beach town of Kingston, probably going to Bubba's for late night pizza but now they're in Ottawa creating a dance scene that the city hasn't felt there before. When listening to their productions and the limited live video out there you quickly get feel for the classic house with electro edge that they are promoting. More importantly they are bringing something to the [...]
