If you're unfamiliar with the name Miike Snow, you might be inclined to think it's either a rapper from the '80s or someone who sells something illegal on the street corner, but really, you couldn't be further from the truth. Although the product Miike Snow is delivers is known to be addictive, the Swedish indie pop three-piece is much more likely to make you want to dance than anything else. A few weeks ago we first caught wind of Deniz Koyu 's "Pretender" remix in Miike Snow's Essential Mix and it was love at first listen. Deniz Koyu gives the Miike Snow track "Pretender" an epic remix that heads straight into the direction of anthemlike arena electro.
Apparently Miike Snow are big news, but don't let that put you off because they are also quite brilliant. This is a Swedish 3-piece with tons of sales and a discography that has seen them buff up the recording output of lots of the charts leading lights (Madge, Kylie). They also have considerable reach in the remix scene so what a relief to find out that they leave their best for the originality on their albums.
