Delsin certainly has come along way from its humble beginnings 15 years ago. The Dutch label started with 50 cassette copies of owner Marsel van der Wielen's own Peel Seamus productions and continued to slowly build an identity that grew from deep electronica, broken beat and electro to what it's best known for now - post-Detroit techno charting the fringes of the galaxy. EclectroToen wij begin dit jaar de promo van Mike Dehnert's Framework opgestuurd kregen, kon niemand bevroeden dat dit het startsein was van een heuse techno revival. Zowel jonge talenten (Perc, Cosmin TRG, Conforce, Steffi) als oude meesters (Ben Sims, Jeff Mills, Luke Slater's Planetary Assault Systems, Robert Hood) kwamen met nieuw materiaal op de proppen dat bol stond van de kwaliteitstechno. Hiertegenover staat echter een haast eindeloze stroom aan James Blake clonen en middelmatige UK garage en post-dubstep releases, die door gevallen held Scuba vakkundig wordt gebundeld in zijn mix voor de verder onvolprezen DJ-Kicks serie.
