Odd Future put out their latest video to the track "Rella" directed by Tyler the Creator a couple minutes ago. As usual it's full of hilarious visuals and a story that makes little sense. The costumes, story, and basically everything about this video is just the Odd Future crew doing what they do and having fun while doing it. Check it above and grab a copy of the OF Tape Vol. 2 March 20th...

2011 was a fantastic year for Los Angeles based hip-hop/skateboard collective Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All with releases from Tyler the Creator , Mellowhype , Frank Ocean , The Internet and Mike G , and yet after all that it looks like the group still won't be slowing down in 2012. And they are going to tour too!

Coming to you by way of Queens, T. Shirt drops off another one. If you haven't heard his Mike G produced Puerto Rican Rum joint you probably don't know how big this project is. I suggest you do that now for a taste, but get the whole thing below. Ironically enough Shirt was out in LA conducting meetings and making music; Mike G found him not the other way around. The album is solid, Shirt is killing it right now, he's feeling good and it's not rare form. sweats: What was your reaction to Puerto Rican Rum getting [...]

CLICK IMAGE TO VIEW VIDEO New York! Salute your mans.."T-Shirt"... “The Fuck” sessions, were stolen out of T.Shirt’s car in Miami this past December, along with his MacBook Pro and other valuables. No individual protool sessions meant the songs could never be changed. No updated mixes could be produced, no TV or “clean” versions of tracks could be made, and basically songs had to be released as they were, or scrapped and recorded again from scratch. The album was about 94% done. This is that album ... The homie spits ferocious [...]

T.Shirt is going hard in the paint on his newest release The Fuck . It's kind of a shit story, dude lost his macbook while on a trip down south. It was definitely a fall back for him, he had to scrap material, he was working with basically a full album on that computer.. these upcoming tracks "Angst" and "Puerto Rican Rum" are the lead singles, you could feel the frustration of the whole thing in Angst. Shirt has always been an honest dude, that's why I've been on his back ever since I first heard him back in [...]
California hip hop collective Odd Future finishes off the year with a new release from the Internet. This ain't the same angle you'd expect from most OF albums, but it's not exactly restoring my faith in the outfit. WATCH THE REVIEW

50 The notion of compiling a "50 Best Songs of the Year" list is preposterous. In addition to the absurd presumption that songs across genres can be objectively compared in some meaningful way, such a list ignores the fact that one's experience of a song is entirely situational, as dependent on one's mood and temperament as on any musical detail. Indeed, a list of this type is bound to almost destined to disappoint, confuse, or perhaps even enrage the reader. And yet we worked our asses off on this one. Staffer Peter Lillis, co-editor [...]

Lesser-known Odd Futurist Mike G released a new EP for free this week.

Mike G of the hip-hop crew, Odd Future , just released a mixtape for your devouring. The production was done by Hodgy Beats and Syd the Kid . Go get it for free here .

MP3: Mike G - the Award Tour Ep From what I can gather from a first listen to Mike G's Award Tour Ep that Odd Future just gave away on their tumblr is that Mike G was a really terrible child to raise. I think the L.A. Times said he was Warren G's cousin. Think about the "triple 6 degrees of seperation" if that is true.

Mike G has long been the secret weapon of the Odd Future crew. As long as Earl Sweatshirt remains imprisoned in an offshore oil derrick or whatever the hell, he's the group's best pure rapper. His calm, understated elegance works as a nice corrective to the rest of the bunch's anarchic tendencies. And his 2010 Ali mixtape is sort of a lost gem in the hyped-up Odd Future catalog. And today, he's given us Ali 's sequel: A quick 26-minute rap tape called Award Tour . Mike sounds strong throughout, and Vince [...]
