MISTAJAM WORLD EXCLUSIVE Mistajam has long been the champion of UK bass music and last week he dropped an exclusive remix of one of his personal favourite bands 'The Milk' and there track 'Broke Up the Family' by Hostage & RackNRuin. Check out the track below!

Have you heard of The Milk? No, then make like a DJ and add them to your iPod playlist as this band are something truly unique to shout about. After first releasing single 'B-Roads' which secured them a reputation as ones to watch in 2012, they've been selling out shows across London right, left and centre. Now with their... Read more..

The white-soul boys called The Milk were something of a one-hit wonder last year with their splendid single (All I Wanted Was) Danger . Thankfully there's more where that came from, and the English lads have just let loose B-Roads [ music video ] which is another excellent retro ska/soul jam. The debut album will be out in May and in the meantime they're touring all over the UK. Get involved folks. B-Roads by The Milk
Theme Park has put together a cornucopia of remixes of their single, 'Milk', and it's up for grabs on soundcloud. Here's a culinary analogy for the sake of being culinarily analogous: Each track is...

This is the final post on Breaking More Waves for 2011. It's time to close down, get the mulled wine hot and wafting vapour through the house, put Phil Spector's cracking A Christmas Gift for You on and forget about the world of new music for a while. Thank you very much if you've visited, read what we've written and listened to the music that has been featured on the blog in 2011. We've [...]

Between November 21th and December 17th Breaking More Waves has been going list-mental. Ones to Watch 2012 (15 of them in total), the Blog Sound of 2012 poll , the run down on our 10 favourite albums of the year and commentary on the BBC Sound of 2012 list, it feels like we've exhausted our ability to compile and order music to make some sort of sense of the world. [...]

Some great new dubs from the 6th Borough Project's Graeme Clark (The Revenge) and Craig Smith. Deep chugging versions of new 'it' band The Milk's B Roads to get properly lost in and flail your arms too whilst getting blinded by a strobe/laser combo.

Artwork by Jacob Youngblood Ziegler Brandon's TBE Digest is a place where I gather up all the recent jams that are worth a listen (or 10) but don't necessarily need their own post. Here you will find new tracks by known bands, remixes, covers, and even mashups if they are interesting. My favorites of the lot are in bold . This may be the last Digest I do like this. I'd really like to take the time to give the best of these tracks the solo post they deserve. If [...]
![THE MILK BRINGS CEE-LO SOUL INTO THE HIP HOP WORLD [STREAM]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3917156_lg.jpg)
B-Roads - The Milk // Pre-Order A British band that expands beyond boyish garage rock? I bet you thought it wasn't possible. And yet, The Milk (@thisisthemilk) are offering up a blissful single that brings Cee-Lo soul into the hip-hop world. "B-Roads", if recorded in the height of the Motown era, would have fit right in - were it not for the record scratches. With soul and funk music seeing a serious revival in indie music, "B-Roads" is right on the money, finding the sweet spot [...]
If I had a time machine I would traveled to 2012 to see who's gonna be the most played and loved artists next year, but I don't have one..so I'll be guessing instead. Make sure to check out '11 Artists To Watch in 2011' – some of the artists there is "to watch" in 2012 [...]

So we've made it to December... no more fall, no more November. We're about to be waist deep in mittens, holiday music on repeat, coke-cola polar bears and hopefully some J-mo spiked cider. To kick off this season-o-spiked-cider, we've got a jolly mix of tunes that will keep you warm until you finally bite the bullet and buy a winter coat after you lost your last one boozin too hard last February (or maybe that's just me.) <<<Download the Kick Kick Snare December Mixtape Here>>> Happy Holidays KickKickSnarers! We can't wait to [...]

The Milk - 'B-Roads' Newcomers The Milk have had a great year with inked deal with Sony and been hotly tipped by the likes of The Guardian and The Fly. They're now ready to release the new single 'B-Roads' and the Byron Bootleg remix of the track on December 19! The Milk are four spirited young [...]

Music is emotive. Or at least, good music is emotive. If it doesn't provoke some kind of response you can safely say that kind of tune is probably not for you. This music makes me feel so very bloody happy and carefree. It's the kind of tunes you kick back, nod your head, tap your foot and forget whatever is troubling you, maybe grab a hairbrush or an air guitar and play along mid-ironing session. Taken off The Milks ' B-Roads and B Sides EP, due out December 19th, the band blend soul, mo-town and old [...]

The prediction I made last year that Essex lads The Milk were ones to watch for looks like it's coming true. The boys have been snapped up by Sony, and are putting the finishing touches on a debut album which should see the light of day in the middle of next year. UK heavy hitters including Zane Lowe and Huey Morgan have gotten behind the boys too, spinning their latest single 'B-Roads'. Add these plaudits to a string of wild live shows (which have earned The Milk a [...]

The Milk have all the ingredients to be the next great UK guitar band. A "back to basics" yet still modern referencing sound, great songs, a great frontman, the support of UK radio (including spins from Zane Lowe, and an evening playlist slot on XFM). "B Roads", the band's latest single, is the sort good time/feel good shit that the indie rock and roll genre seems sorely short on in the year 2011. Catch a little good time below. The Milk - B Roads The Milk [...]
