What: Los Angeles' Mini Mansions returns with a new video for its Blondie cover of "Heart of Glass". Directed by vocalist and keyboardist Tyler Parkford, the video makes bath time look like quite a chore, and everyone knows it's really not. This track is currently available on the band's single "Monk", released via Psychedelic Judaism. Director: Tyler Parkford

It's an always intriguing walk with Matthew Dear, as he acts as a tour guide around a warped, sludgy, and irresistibly catchy urban fantasy land. "Headcage" the title track off Matthew Dear's newest EP, finds one visiting a similar locale as initially created with his 2010 album Black City . Starting with a beat that would fit perfectly amidst some sort of futuristic underworld crime joint, Dear adds a "sniffle sample" that only bolsters the illicit feel of the song. Had we been around for the time of Warhol's Factory, I could easily see LA natives Mini Mansions, trading slots with The VU. It's a tough task to seamlessly merge psychedelia with dance-pop, but Mini Mansions do just that. In fact, take one listen to "Monk" and imagine girls with bobs and mini-dresses, sipping martini's and getting down with the underground art crowd that Andy attracted. "Monk" starts with a walk down piano progression accompanied by a melody that, although catchy, makes you a bit uneasy.
