Winter has finally landed here in Mpls and Antifreeze has locked this month's show into four wheel drive. A little hip-hop heavy this time around, brand new music, local faves and classic bangers round out this edition. Sit back, relax, click play and keep your head ringin'. Shout to Sianet , - The Staff * Word to the wise: Tonight's show contains explicit content, so don't play in front of the kiddies okay? [...]

polica Three reasons to dress up as Leap Day William at Lincoln Hall tonight... 1. Minnesota is well represented tonight. Minneapolis' own rising indie darlings Polica delight with thumping bass, double drum theatrics, and lush, autotuned vocals. The quartet's tasty electronic R&B flavor more than makes up for the omission of electric guitars on its debut album Give You The Ghost , which was produced by Gayngs' Ryan Olson. WATCH: " Lay Your Cards Out " [...]
I really don't know how to describe Polica's music. This Minnesota alternative band is real hot, has huge breakout potential among the indie/hipster crowd and I'm seriously disappointed in myself for not seeing them live last night at Bootleg Theater in LA. Shout out to @JDBabbit27 for sending me Polica's stuff and shout out to [...]

Gigamesh's remix of "Tongue Tied" is that forever loving disco that Gigamesh does best. I can't believe how long this took for me to post, let's just say I didn't realize how popular the 'mesh was, but it's still just as Minnesota fresh. Gigamesh Location: MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA! Label: OurLabel International Gigamesh on: Gigamesh.com | Facebook | SoundCloud | Twitter ` [...]

It's really awesome to see more emerging hip-hop artists today. Being from Minnesota it seems like there's a new one popping up every week, but when you see new artists in relatively unrepresented places, it makes it that much better. Dunson, from Las Vegas, recently decided to pursue his music career full time and so far he's sounding pretty damn good. He has a couple of albums already and is currently putting together his most recent project entitled The Investment . That project is actually where the featured, "Count On It" comes from. When I listen I hear [...]

Here it is: Dubstep, Electro, Chill of the week! If you are new to the blog and if you stumble upon this site from some comment or from some search page looking for music you probably have found the right site for your music needs. But I do not keep old music however good they are. I put up songs that have been in the market for a couple of months(max) and display here so you can enjoy the good music that are being made every now [...]

Christian Bauhofer aka Minnesota is someone to be on the look out for. This USCS grad is an up and coming dubstep/glitch-hop producer from Santa Cruz. Both his remixes and original tracks have an epic quality to them. One track that particularly comes to mind is "Jetstream". It's bright, open, and ethereal. "Jetstream" sounds like how an awesome mushroom trip feels... or so I assume. Nonetheless check out some of his tracks below.

Tweet vaso link Tympanogram Grade: B+ The most telling sign that electronic artist Mux Mool (a.k.a. Brian Lindgren) has matured his sound is that his style has been clearly defined on his newest album, Planet High School - an instrumental hip-hop release that cuts the excess from his debut full-length, 2010’s Skulltaste . Not to say that one release is better than the other, but Lindgren provides listeners with two distinct styles on each one: 8-bit electronica and [...]
Mega chill. Needs an ASAP Rocky verse or something.

On January 27th Porter Robinson played live in Hull for the esteemed BBC Radio 12s Essential Mix. I've listened to a large number of them and can say without a doubt that this was one of the most enjoyable to date. From start to finish you can feel the energy that must have been pulsing through the show. As he continues to put out stellar production and hone his mixing skills, Porter is right on course to becoming one of the kings of the EDM scene. We also have some news for Porter Robinson fans [...]
It's that time again. Back in effect to kick-off your February correct, Antifreeze & co bring an hour-long mix of brand new beats to bang your system. Antifreeze celebrates it's second year by including three, count 'em, three world premieres. Spread the word (seriously, share good music) and don't forget to post your requests and give the show a birthday shout on Facebook . Let them know you care. Give them Antifreeze. Shout to Sianet . - The Staff [...]
Minnesota's already been up on our site a bunch of times before, and for good reasons. Besides being really talented, he also gives out all his music for free which is nice. Feeling this remix he put out recently.

Yea, you've heard that song Demons..... .....well take my word for it.... you have.... Wanna hear a great down-tempo laid back remix? Well all the cool kids do, it's great for studying... or writing blog posts....

Gigamesh 's physical and online presence can't go unnoticed. In addition to being one of the tallest producers in the game, he also has held the top spot on Hype Machine's Most Popular list with several of his remixes. Gigamesh hails from the Midwestern state of Minnesota where music icon Prince also calls home, so it's no surprise that Gigamesh is also making a name for himself. Gigamesh remixes have been in heavy rotation here at ATG. He demonstrates his versatility with the spectrum of tracks he's covered - everything from Foster the People to Citizens! to Katy [...]

Tweet I came across this remix from US dubstep producer Minnesota in a mix of dubstep and drum n bass tunes courtesy of Life + Times . Minnesota, aka Christian Bauhofer, says his goal is: “to make bass-heavy dubstep/glitch-hop music that'll get you dancing, but is not the same old, three-note transformer-step ... I try to focus more on the melodic side of dubstep, and hopefully, make quality songwriting a more relevant factor in the genre.” [...]
Had to bounce for a few (due to unforeseen medical issues), but Antifreeze is back keeping things heated in 2012 with an amazing show and even more…an announcement: Antifreeze will now also be broadcast weekly on fellow Mpls-based sianetradio.com . Indeed. 9pm Central each Thurs., you can check the latest episode on sianetradio.com. We’re pleased to announce this and hope it brings fresh ears and then some to the good folks at Sianet Radio (and Antifreeze of course!). This could also [...]

Wobble Wednesday is here again! Welcome back! If you're not already familiar with Wobble Wednesday, that's okay - we want to make your first time amazing. Most of what you'll be listening to here is often referred to as dubstep, but can encompass all genres of heavy bass music. To quote bass music artist ill.Gates, "When you look at what some of the bigger dubstep guys are doing now, they'll play some dubstep, they'll play some drumstep, they'll plays some breaks, some drum and bass, and maybe some dance hall." That's what Wobble Wednesday is all about. [...]

It has been a great start to the new year for the EDM scene that we all live and breathe; heavy bangers officially dropped in Steve Aoki's Wonderland, and the genre blending geniuses behind Big Gigantic are releasing Nocturnal for free tomorrow afternoon. However, it's time to take a more laid back approach to the start of this [...]
![[Dubstep] Minnesota – Jetstream](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3979309_lg.jpg)
When many people think of the word Dubstep they automatically assume it must be aggressive, harsh and dissonant to an extreme. It is refreshing to see producers out there like Christian Bauhofer AKA Minnesota who challenge this stereotype by making music with more of a melodic, songwriter focus rather than strictly making the loud sounds they can program. If you're looking for an alternative take on dubstep then you might enjoy Minnesota's latest track "Jetstream". The glitchy synthlines and dreamy arpeggios used in this relaxing tune not only give Minnesota a unique sound, but may [...]
