SXSW announced on Tuesday that Deadmau5 and Richie Hawtin will perform a techno-inspired back-to-back set at this year's SXSW Closing Party. The duo, each having made invaluable contributions to the evolution of electronic music, will be joined by Welsh rock band The Joy Formidable and American indie rock group Local Natives. American transplant Jon Gaiser is arguably one of the most unique and exciting artists to emerge from Berlin's vaunted techno scene. Last week in Ibiza, Richie Hawtin and Luciano - two of the island's leading party forces - brought together their M-nus Enter and Cadenza brands, bringing to fruition one of the most extravagant White Isle experiences. The unison of these two imprints - normally perceived as island rivals - was one grand occasion.
