Outside of their work as Thao And Mirah , Thao Nguyen and Mirah Yom Tov Zeitlyn each have their own successful music careers. It's been pretty well documented that Kasey and I are pretty big fans of both Thao and Mirah. Both get a lot of play when we are at work in our kitchen and during our home-cooked meals. The evening began with Seattle's solo siren, Led to Sea . L. Alex Guy loops her classical tinged violin melodies into rich, full, arrangements. America's lovely Thao & Mirah: Mirah Yom Tov Zeitlyn and Thao Nyugen, both solo artists for a long time, met and decided to go on tour together last year. The outcome for two very distinct abilities as singer/songwriters is unpredictably black or white: either they'll clash or not. I remember Mirah's number "The Garden" on an episode of So You Think You Can Dance for a contemporary piece.
