Poor Zak Efron , The Lucky One was not so lucky this week. Even his bare butt promo stints couldn't land this movie in the top spot. Maybe he should have shown a little flesh in the movie, #JustSaying. Also, STOP making NICHOLAS SPARKS novels into movies, they suck (except for the Notebook ). Instead, Think Like a Man will take the top spot next week and honestly I am kind of interested in seeing it, don't judge. Chimpanzee [...]

So everyone in the Hunger Games Trilogy can happily retire now, right? 337 Million for a movie that cost 78 Million. I am super impressed with this whole Hunger Games obsession people have. I mean how can you not be. The Three Stooges debuted this week too at #2 with an impressive 17 Million and The Cabin in the Woods film followed close behind with 14 Million. Top Ten Estimates are below, check it. 1. The Hunger Games $21,500,000 [...]

Last week we start selling our 405 branded tote bags, and a few days later we have less than half of them left, which is amazing. As well as receiving a hand written note with every bag order (which includes a music recommendation) we enlisted the amazing Mirror Mirror to create two exclusive mixes for buyers to listen to. The duo have put together a 'dark' mix for the black bag, and one 'light' mix for the white bag, and the only way to hear them is to buy a limited edition bag! [...]

Heloise & The Savoir Faire On Friday night, those in the know came out to Le Poisson Rouge for what was guaranteed to be a glittery disco-drenched dance party. And that it was. The perpetrators, Heloise & The Savoir Faire , were in top form for this disco meets electro-pop set. Lead singer Heloise was decked out in one of her signature leotards, this one leopard print, embellished with layers of pearl necklaces. But lets not get ahead of ourselves here - [...]

Off the top of my head (and according to the charts from my several last.fm accounts), here are 25 songs I've had on repeat sometime in 2011. Also, judging from our previous experience , having a post with a bunch of mp3s is good for driving traffic! Gang Gang Dance – Glass Jar Litanic Mask – Virgin Spring U.S. Girls – The Island Song Pictureplane [...]

Welcome, welcome, to 20JFG's fantabulous end of year round up. Once again we'll be raiding the year's archives for the tracks that made permanent homes on our digital/analogue devices. We'll also be posting a few things that we loved but didn't cover at the time: music that had already been blogged to death or music that its owner wasn't happy to give away...until now! So, over the next couple of weeks we'll tease out a stream of songs that made us happy to be writing this blog, year in, year out. At 20JFg we create [...]
Pretty Bowiesque track by Kansas City's Denys Parker aka 18 Carat Affair . His music is described as a woozy mix of Gothic and Nostalgia. I don't know where this Gothic is coming from, but I'm totally going with the Nostalgia bit. " Mirror Mirror " is taken from his current release Televised Tragedies , available on Bandcamp . Video by Synesthesiæ Films. 18 Carat Affair - Facebook

Ok, so who would have thought that I would be preferring a Kristen Stewart film over a Julia Roberts film? Not me, that's for sure... The competing Snow White movies are almost upon us, and well, I knew that Snow White and the Huntsman was going to thrash the other one at the box office. But I thought that would happen merely because all the Twi-hards would run to the theaters... It actually looks like the superior of [...]
And here's the second Snow White-themed movie that will be hitting theaters. It couldn't be any more different than the action-fantasy Snow White and the Huntsman . Tarsem Singh directs and Julia Roberts is the top lining star. It's definitely more fairy tale-ish than the other Snow White movie, but tonally this looks terrible. It plays like broad, goofy comedy. Like a bad Tim Burton movie. Sigh. [via BAD ]

Mirror mirror - 4Minute I'm sorry. I used to be cool. Maybe i'm trying to be in other ways cool. It feels that way. Trying - not succeeding. Just being an obsessive neophyte. This is what happens when i'm left on my own. I'm consumed. The concert on Saturday had a huge effect on me and i want to keep it with me as long as possible, so these songs from it will keep coming for days. This was one of the best performances [...]

So this isn't exactly hot off the presses but we just found it and it's rad, so we had to share. " Mirror Mirror was released on May 2nd 2011. The (10") vinyl features the new single by Marie Fisker, Mirror Mirror, along with three covers of Ghost Of Love songs performed by Sune Rose Wagner of The Raveonettes, Anders Mathiasen of Murder and Caecilie Trier of Chimes Of Bells. Ghost Of Love is the critically acclaimed debut LP by Marie Fisker." [...]

Mirror Mirror on the wall, who is the post-gothiest of them all? Actually, if you view Mirror Mirror's video for ' Interiors ' (and I recommend you take a peak), it appears as if the wicked Queen that haunts Snow White has aged, but maintains her villainous essence. The image of a dark, spastic, androgynous queen with her pointy finger nails and dark shadowy eyes is an indicator of what a room full of Mirror Mirror fans might look like, or should look like at the very least. Mirror Mirror's newest effort is an 80s inspired post-goth [...]
