S ur les terres fertiles de Brooklyn, Coasting touche à tout. Son énergie primale est son épine dorsale. Dans You're Never Going Back , le duo – féroce – livre surf-rock et post-punk.

The Tyvek singles collection "Fast Metabolism" compiles four out-of-print 73s released between 2006 and 2008, and was initially released as a limited CD-R, which is also now out-of-print. Luckily, the this collection has been put to vinyl courtesy of Water Wing Records and M'lady's Records , who recently pressed up an edition of 2000 copies. Mastered for vinyl by Timothy Stollenwerk and Bob Weston, the album will be housed in a deluxe tip-on jacket. This came out back in August, so we're assuming the white vinyl copies limited to just 150 are [...]

My New Zealand showcase interviews roll on with tonight's post featuring The Golden Awesome .

It's Friday, so I feel like we all needed a nice swift kick in the ass, you know, to get us going into the weekend. With that in mind, I'd like us all to have a listen to this little rocker from Tyvek , who just put out Fast Metabolism via M'Ladys Records . It's a compilation gathering all the old singles from the group's early days, thrusting some furious rockers back in our ears. It's always good to listen to the history of [...]

New Zealand's The Golden Awesome aren't necessarily what you'd associate with the typical Oceanic fare, but that's a good thing. They'll be releasing their album, Autumn , via M'Ladys Records on November 15th, and it's shaping up to be a darkly tinged bit of poppy noise rock. If you stream the single below, you'll be met with walls of guitar noise drenched in warm female vocals. Clearly there's an element of pop one can't escape in NZ, but there's more than enough darkness [...]

CMJ 2011 kicks off tomorrow and one show you ought to consider is the New Zealand showcase . Read on for more details!

Weekend and Talk Normal at the Crocodile, Seattle | 26 September 2011 I'm not sure why this show was booked at the Crocodile. With only a handful of people showing up to see Weekend and Talk Normal, someone had to lose money. This show would have been much better for all in involved in a smaller place like the Comet, Lo-Fi, or Sunset. At any of those places, it would have seemed like enough people showed up to see them. At [...]
