Zaterdagavond heb ik een fijne avond beleeft op het Urban Explorers festival in Dordrecht. Tijdens deze avond heb ik gezien dat het heel lastig is voor electronische artiesten om de vertaalslag naar een liveoptreden te maken terwijl dat andersom een stuk makkelijker gaat. Ik keek deze avond vooral uit naar het optreden van Mmoths. De beste jongen heeft twee ep's uit waarvan vooral de eerste mij iedere keer weer goed bevalt. Het is echter bijzonder rustig werk en ik vroeg mij dan ook af hoe dat op het hoogtepunt van de zaterdagavond uit zou [...]
De zaterdag van het Urban Explorers Festival in Dordrecht begint met een expeditie vol stilte en eindigt met een overweldigende bak beats. Tussendoor pakken we ook nog wat feeërieke zang, vegetarisch eten en postmoderne shoegaze mee. Hoe dat beviel, lees je hier. De dag begint goed met de stadsexpeditie van Bea de Visser , die ons meeneemt naar de Grote Kerk. We krijgen daar bovenin de kerktoren niet alleen een nogal experimenteel carillonconcert te horen van zelfverklaard klankdichter Z'EV , maar ook een prachtige uitvoering van Erik Saties 'Gnossiennes' door 2 pianisten [...]
Het zal de trouwe bezoekers van deze site niet verrassen, maar vandaag begint het Urban Explorers in Dordrecht. Eclectro draagt het festival al jaren een warm hart toe. Enfin de verhalen zijn bekend . Zaterdagavond staat er e(c)lectronisch prima line-up met Kuedo en MMoths op het programma. De tweede artiest levert de Vrijdagmiddagplaat van deze week. Brighton's Regal Safari are back with a new track called 'I See', following a small break (we're not including that sublime MMOTHS remix ). Memories of the weekend's beautiful weather aside, this track is stunning showcase of what sunshine can do for your general well-being. Not actual sunshine of course, that's just absurd, but everything it embodies can be found in this track. Rays of vibes all over the place.

Unfortunately I am writing this on the worlds worst laptop and so cannot say too much in fear of having the system crash again for the millionth time. But anything that Regal Safari touch seems to turn to absolute gold, and so I got pretty damn excited when I heard they were getting their hands on a Mmoths track, of which you can hear the wonderful end results of above; enjoy.
