Creating a real summery, replenishing sound, the dudes have been making waves on Triple J Unearthed scoring some digital radio airplay, and released their No Cigar EP last December. Constantly playing shows locally, the boys aren't keen to stop anytime soon, as they are the Evelyn Hotel's May residents; therefore will be playing a show every week at the said venue of this month! ![[Funky] Moby – Natural Blues (TYR Remix)](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4928902_lg.jpg)
TYR is no stranger to the task of remixing one of the greats, Moby . He's already remixed "Honey", "Flower", and gained support from Moby on both. This time TYR tackles one of the most iconic tracks in Moby's arsenal, "Natural Blues". The approach on this remix is perfect because he enhances all the right parts of the original while still maintaing the natural flow of the song. Put it on repeat and enjoy, cheers. Make sure if you're in the Colorado area to check out TYR and Anvil Smith on June [...]
OHHHH LAWDY! It has been a LONG time since I've heard "Natural Blues" by Moby, but goddamn am I glad to have it back in my life. It so happens that the first CD I ever bought was in fact Play by Moby, the album that "Natural Blues" was first featured on. I remember putting [...]
A little late on the bus with this one but I didn't wanna let this pass under your radars. TYR just released his second Moby remix of Natural Blues . Something about a smooth soul vocal on an electronic bed just works so well. Moby knew this, and TYR knew that. So what we have here is a wonderfully energetic and glitchy electro breaks track with pitched up vocals and caustic synths, turning the original Moby hit into a dancefloor banger. BONUS: [...]
Infiltrating our airwaves with yet another defiant Moby re-work, TYR takes ‘Natural Blues’ down an abrupt passage of shady breakbeats and Alvin the Chipmunk vocal routines. Picking up the speedy measures through a swift exchange of glossy stabs and punchy synths, TYR’s mix of ‘The Way You Move’ moves back ‘n’ forth like a blowing wicker candle. Clasped together as one, TYR defies the laws of logic all over again. MOBY - Natural Blues (TYR Remix) **DOWNLOAD HERE** BONUS! [...]

After admiring each other's work from afar for years, Moby and Mark Lanegan finally put their heads together on "The Lonely Night," originally released as a limited edition 73 for Record Store Day last weekend. The entire remix package was released digitally this week, including contributions from Photek and an edit by Moby himself, but the remix by veteran Gregor Tresher is the one really getting a full rinse on the speakers since its release. Purchase: Beatport You just finished reading Moby feat. Mark Lanegan - [...]

Oh Coachella the stuff of myth and whimsy...breaking ground, artists and all that jazz. Maybe you've read a Coachella recap or two already... but I'm sorry... I've been recovering. After sitting a few years out, I flew deliriously into the desert full of myth and whimsy after a late night of DJing in New York. After soaking up a bit of sun and putting back a few beers, I was feeling the vibes and off to the festival I went. First stop was for my personal Jesus of DJing, DJ Harvey... Spent [...]

Record Store Day came and went last weekend and with it there were a lot of great releases for you to pick up and while Record Store Day creeps closer and closer to becoming exactly what it set out to rally against—full corporate consumption of music—one thing that it does still bring us is amazing collaborations that really make the day still worthwhile. Moby and Mark Lanegan's limited addition Record Store Day 73 "The Lonely Night" is a slow-moving emotional track. Moby's infamous classical sound is the perfect backdrop for Lanegan's baritone voice. "The Lonely Night" could quite [...]

The very first electronic album I ever bought was a Prodigy album. I had their poster on my wall and used to watch their high budget videos on MTV. In a time where pop and rap ruled the airwaves, those 2 dudes were doing their thing. As much as their music helped me channel my inner suburban rage, it hasn't carried over to now when electronic music has reigned supreme over much else. The second electronic album I ever bought was Play by Moby. In my opinion it's a timeless collection of songs. I can still put that album [...]
The celebration starts tomorrow. There are contests, free shows, parties, and free records
