Always a somewhat problematic predicament is the side-project: whether it arouses foreseeable, feasible tensions or indicates endemic issues with the collaborative creativity of the artist(s) involved, it's a term sullied by multitudinous howlers. Last year's pairing up of Lou Reed and Metallica provided an example as unequivocal as any as to why sticking to the day job, however dirgy or dreary it may be, is an unadventurous direction that should sometimes be followed. It was largely regarded as the defecating on and defacing of not one but two illustrious legacies and the potential perils and jagged-toothed traps around [...]
Do you remember when there was that one song that every DJ played this year? I'm sure some of you (really 80-85% of you) are going to think, "Yeah that was Levels by Avicii!" but I'm talking about the track that came right before Levels. Maybe some of you got it now; I'm thinking of the versatile banger, The End by the one and only Tommy Trash. Now, some people think that Tommy Trash overuses that synth that he created for The End .You may be right, but the reality is is that even if [...]

Last month, during the first day of the 2nd annual Moogfest, Moby headed into Echo Mountain studio in Asheville, North Carolina to record a session for Daytrotter that I'm actually very impressed with. I had never thought about what songs like "Porcelain", "Natural Blues" or "Slipping Away" would sound like if they were really stripped down to the bare essentials. Not only did he manage to take those songs to a new level, but he he also nailed his covers of "Ring of Fire" and "Will The Circle Be Unbroken". I felt less like I was [...]

Joris Voorn has a special remix of techno pioneer Moby's track " After" . Taking Mobys original, Joris injects a club sensibility with a rolling bass and punchy beats. Instilling his unique feel for dancefloor-funk, the Dutchman adds plenty of soul to remix, leading the original away from its darkened edge and into the light. Subtle melodies and progressive keys build purposefully throughout the track to deliver yet more party fodder from Joris Voorn and Rejected. <p>&amp; amp;amp;lt;p&amp;amp;a mp;gt;&amp;amp;amp;amp ;amp;amp;amp;lt;p&amp; amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;&am p;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp; amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;p&a mp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp ;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;&a mp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp ;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;l t;p&amp;amp;amp;amp;am p;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp; amp;amp;amp;gt;&amp;am p;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp; amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt ;a href=" http://soundowl.com/track/2e2c /joris-voorn-moby-after-the-af ter-original-mix"&amp; amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;am p;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp; gt;Download Joris Voorn, Moby After The After (Original Mix)&amp;amp;amp;amp;a mp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp ;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;/a& ;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;a mp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp ;amp;gt;&amp;amp;amp;a mp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp ;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;/p& ;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;a mp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp ;gt;&amp;amp;amp;amp;a mp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt; /p&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp ;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;&a mp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp ;amp;lt;/p&amp;amp;amp ;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;&a mp;amp;amp;lt;/p&amp;a mp;amp;gt;</p> Electronic dance music, [...]

Another cover: this Mission of Burma song has been covered numerous times: Catherine Wheel, Graham Coxon (Blur), and Moby have all taken a stab at it. I like this one the best. - Bill Ryan Moby - That's When I Reach For My Revolver Click the image below to get more Moby through Amazon!
It seems that Moby is still on his Destroyed promotional binge. As we are huge fans of every other album Moby releases. We never got into the new one fully. We loved Wait For Me though. Still, his work is always up to par. Let's hope he releases a disco album next. Or one that takes inspiration from disco. Moby 's 'The Right Thing' has been remimagined by Stockholm producer Kleerup. Love it? Hate it? If you're of the former mind, good news: you can download it for your very own below.

A true sin in this world is ignoring art. But we do. Our world works too fast. Our eyes have too big of stomachs. We digest without reflecting. We rely on our subconscience to dig deeper. This is life in the modern world. Our main priority: time. There is no greater asset. Though, here's a piece of irony: A real piece of art is a physical representation of time. So, what's our excuse? Don't worry, you don't have to answer. Just an introduction, really. Here's the real meat: A couple years ago, I tapped my closest friend Cap [...]

'Twas the Monday before Christmas, and all through the scene ... ► Moby does an acoustic set at Bardot for the weekly RSVP-only It's a School Night event, and young songstress Lucy Schwartz also performs. ► The third installment of Manhattan Murder Mystery' s residency at the Satellite features Judson McKinney, Jonny Corndawg and Sweet Pea at the Roads. ► One of our favorite charitable organizations, the Songs for Kids Foundation , gets a boost from some of L.A.'s best talent — tonight's fundraiser at the Hotel Cafe [...]

Watch Moby and Inyang Bassey's vision of New York City.

This past May, Moby released his tenth studio album Destroyed. , a 72-minute, ambient epic, which included the track "The Right Thing." The song, which is now the fourth single from the album, features vocals from Inyang Bassey, and today, the accompanying visuals for the calming, soulful track premiered on Consequence of Sound . The video sees Bassey belting out her soulful melodies whilst walking around New York City's parks, subways, and streets. The twist? The visual style of the video evokes the grittiness and charm of '70s New York, so much [...]
