My friend Jess Sanet has an open aversion to certain, specific words. It is one of many very, very cool things about that she physically shudders when she hears the words: moist, cocoa or panties. Jess, you can take comfort in not being the only one. Apparantly, moist is the most hated word in the English language. Commence shuddering.
I'm sitting here listening to nice ambient tones from Moist. To be exact, the EP "Alone", a 7-track record with 4 original tracks and 3 interesting remixes from Addeboy vs Cliff , Håkan Lidbo and Red Snapper . The Moist songs has a mellow, atmospheric feeling, where heavy bass beats step down and give depth to it all. At the same time this is good down-tempo pop with Maria Marcus' somewhat distanced, souly voice in a perfect marriage with the ambience. Första samarbetet mellan Moist och Sophie Rimheden, står det på Moists sida. Vad det innebär framgår inte men de har i alla fall gjort något intressant tillsammans i och med denna lugna och dunkla elektoniska låt. I zip-filen som går att ladda ner nedan finns det även två remixer; den ena av Håkan Lidbo och den andra av Stefan Aronsson. Låt er inte skrämmas av det ypperligt billiga Photoshop-jobbet som omslaget är, musiken är mer sofistikerad än så. Ladda ner här .
I saw Shine a Light a couple days ago and have come to the conclusion that I don't particularly like watching concert films, though as far as concert films go, it's pretty awesome. My main beef is that I was just sitting there with my arms alternately folded or propping up my head on the armrest. IMAX, larger than life, like being there... except you're not.
