Το μόνο που ξέρουμε είναι ότι είναι δύο αγόρια από το Λονδίνο που λατρεύουν τα synths και τις νυχτερινές βόλτες με γρήγορα αυτοκίνητα. Διαφορετικά δεν έγραφαν το "Gold In The Fire". Monarchy is nothing but one great song. Like so many bands are choosing to do these days, they've chosen to take the 'mysterious' route. In some ways I find this a bit off-putting, like they're purposely trying to manipulate the internet hype factory, but I also really dig the idea of just letting the music alone speak for the group. As you may or may not have seen from my previous tweet , James Penycate from We Are Brilliantly Different hooked it up with some new hotness from Monarchy , a production duo out of London/ UK. He described them as a "Disco Friendly Fire" and I'd have to agree. after thousands of track submissions via e-mail, myspace and what not, i think i developed a certain ability of being able to tell if something could be any good just by the artist and track names and the overall appearance. so when i got 'gold in the fire' by monarchy in the mail today and checked their myspace, i already had a feeling i am going to post this. only good people can come up with a name like 'monarchy' , fact. as everyone obviously seems to believe that music bloggers love themselves some mystery [...]
Not too much info on Monarchy except their from London and have a pretty bare MySpace. Their graphic kinda reminds me of Castor and Pollux. Gemini FTW. But who knows. Maybe they're actually Leos or Cancers. Monarchy's demo totally sneaks up you. "Gold in the Fire" starts out kinda like a typical electro slow jam but once the falsetto kicks in it's pure love. And the build up... slow but perfect. Reminds me a bit of Hail Social vs Wave Machines with more synth plus maybe some Visitor because of the whole galaxy angle. [...]
