I already said that Luna Amara is one of the best Romanian bands of the moment. I began to listen to their music some years ago. I fell in love with their first album, Asfalt . But a certain song from that album - Mara - got to me like no other. It's been four years since Asfalt was released and none of their other songs got to me like that. Since now. I'm totally in love with this new track that will appear on their third album, Don't Let Your Dreams [...]

I think Mark Lanegan is one of the few people who could actually sing any kind of music and would still fit him, featuring any kind of voice, male or female. My new obsession fits here perfectly. Here it is, The Twilight Singers singing Number Nine with Mark .
It's amazing what certain voices can do to a song, even if their appearance is minor. Wait for the last verse. It'll worth it! Lou Reed - Caroline Says Pt.II
This past weekend was pretty busy for me, music wise. Two of my favourite Romanian bands had gigs on Friday and Saturday respectively. So, let's take it step by step. Friday night I wanted to see Persona. As it was part of Miau Nights - a more complex event, they were the third and last band to sing that night. First ones on stage - Melting Carousels , an indie band from Timişoara, Romania. I wasn't impressed at all, and there something in the girl's voice I really disliked. So after a 3 songs [...]
It finally happened. The Klimt 1918 concert in Cluj took place last Saturday (11th of October). Needless to say I've been waiting for this event for quite some time now (about 2 years ago I was daydreaming how good it would be to see the guys performing live). They are really nice and talkative people! Energetic and friendly, awesome on stage! I'm glad I had the chance to interact a little with them. I wish they would have played a little bit more, but hey, they're human too. Setlist: Intro The [...]

As we were shooting the video for my single 'My James Dean' I was also busy shooting a 'behind the scenes video'. You'll get to follow me around all day, from early morning getting ready with hair and make up til late night driving home. I would like to thank Åsa Östergren for the fab hairdo and make up, Swing i Swaben for letting us shoot the video there and 'Sweet Emma and the Mood Swingers ' for looking awsome in the video. Do check out [...]

Justin Vernon secluded himself in his father's cabin in Wisconsin for 4 months, after his former band found it's end. That was the place where For Emma, Forever Ago , Bon Iver 's debut album was born. Justin recorded the CD all by himself, with just some mics and some recording equipment. He then released it, and the album was so well received by the media and the critics that it was properly released this year, under a label and everything. The album is able to communicate such [...]
Being cold and rainy outside, it makes sense that I light candles :D. So my room smells great of oranges and cinnamon. I actually made myself a huge cup of hot black tea - I mostly drink room temperature coffee -, and now I'm standing, listening to music, and reading something really nice :) How can I not love autumn? Especially now that I can start wearing scarves again :D On repeat: Russian Red 's Walls Are Tired Cups are tired Of being filled [...]

It's getting dark earlier and earlier, the temperature drops more every night. I can almost see autumnal foliage on trees. I'm in love with nature these days. Love me as the summer gone When eyes were closed and days were long, so long I burned a torch for you but all the while Somewhere in the haze you lost your smile ( Blackfield 's Summer)
I wish I had something good to say about this song. But it's got me so hypnotized that my words would be in vain. Lou Reed & John Cale 's Open House My skin's as pale as outdoors moon My hair's silver like a Tiffany watch I like lots of people around me but don't kiss hello And please don't touch [...] It's a Czechoslovakian custom my mother pased on to me Give people little presents so they [...]

I can't remember ever seeing something similar in my entire life. I even forgot about that moment till recently, when I found the pictures. They were taken last year, on the 6th of July. I don't know what was I listening to at that moment, but now when I see them, there's only one song that comes to my mind: Alexi Murdoch 's Orange Sky .

The Canadian band Stars released a brand new 6 tracks EP - Sad Robots - on the first of September. I really loved their last year album, and was glad to notice improvement from one material to the next one, but Sad Robots blew me away! One song more beautiful than the other. I have no idea what inspired them, but I sure hope they keep their muse tight and safe for their next album. I really can say that I like it all. From music, to lyrics and artwork. [...]

Let it fall . One of my favourite autumn songs, Urma 's September . Although autumn hasn't quite kicked in just yet, I'm getting myself ready for it. Why I like it so much? Because I can wear sweaters and scarves, the sky is a certain blue that I can't see during any other time of the year, and because all those colours out there. Plus, the parks are coated with leaves and I can make piles and jump in them and play (yeah, [...]

I've never seen a sky so beautiful like the on in my hometown, just after sunset Summer is pretty much over and it's probably the first time when I'm not nostalgic; nevertheless, I still listen to my 2-summer-is-over songs: A-Ha 's Summer Moved On and The Cure 's The Last Day of Summer I've always hated Sundays. [...]

I never could dream while I was sleeping Put your arms around my soul And take it dancing... Take me to the fantastic place Keep the rest of my life away ( Marillion - Fantastic Place )
I've always liked hands. It's one of the first things I observe in a person. I watch the shape and forms, the gestures they make, the nails and the fingers, the positions they take, the way they fit in with the rest of the body or how they match the person who owns them. Because of this passion I've discovered this beautiful song, with a video directed by the great guy that was Heath Ledger. I'm talking about Ben Harper 's Morning Yearning . Enjoy! Via >>>

Week: busy. Motivation: low. It's a sad fact that when you're having a tough week, even the activities you love become a chore. So no words of insight or interest here I'm afraid. Today we'll just have to let the tunes do the talking - more from recently discovered artists, and a favourite as well. If you haven't checked out the Motel Motel stuff yet, get to it - I bloody love em. Mexico - Motel Motel Virginia - Motel Motel In The Forest - [...]

We here at Pasta Primavera are big fans of Knoxville's Superdrag, so when we first popped in NYCers The Mood's new album Synaesthesia , there were some obvious double takes. After a couple rotations there was a clear Superdrag flavor all over it. Just take the power of powerpop down a notch and replace it with a little Beach Boys harmonies. The mood also remind us it's twice as nice when cousins Marco Argiro and Corinne Callen blend their vocals together into a sugary sweet candy top for this great summertime stroll of an album. mp3: [...]
They are back. With a more complex and funny animation. This guys crack me up! Yes, I find dome stupid things very funny :D!
