I first saw The Mother Hips 20 years ago on a trip out to San Francisco. Headed over the bridge to San Rafael in a VW bus. Well, 20 years later and eight albums released, they are just getting better. Their latest effort will be called Behind Beyond and will be released on July 9th via their own label. SXSW Music has just announced a special Levon Helm Tribute and Benefit that will be held at Austin's Auditorium Shores on Saturday, March 16th.
