Das dänische Duo Moth weicht leicht vom klassischen TripHop-Muster ab. Der Mann kümmert sich zwar um düstere Elektronik, die Frau aber ist zu aufgebracht für bittersüsse Melodien. Laut Biographie sei Moth ein nachtaktiver Zwitter. Nachtaktiv, weil Musik und Texte, ob Jazz, Industrial oder TripHop, sich stets um des Lebens dunkle Seiten drehen. We've been loving Albert Swarm 's excellent "Moths & Moth Catchers" , just as we love his whole forthcoming EP Wake , but nothing on there prepared us for Gobby 's mind-boggling, time bending take on the track. Over the course of eight and a half breathless minutes, the immensely talented Harlem-based enigma fucks with seemingly every single element of the original, turning it into a thoroughly mesmerising dancefloor threat that you should definitely avoid while being on a bad trip. Exlovers , the London dreampop outfit, recently released their debut record, Moths, and you can now stream their 2nd single from it, “Emily”. Putting out a sound that is reminiscent to Yuck, but toned down a quite a few notches. Still, don’t underestimates this band immense ability to put out addicting riffs and romantic lyrics.
