Mount Eerie 's second album of the year, Ocean Roar , is due out next week, and so far we've heard the titular single " Ocean Roar ", but Phil Elverum has a new single to peak your interest. "I Walked Home Beholding" is moody as hell, but damn is it good. With sweeping organs, echoing percussion, and smooth guitar riffs, what's not to love? Stream it below. It's a slow, serene ballad featuring the kind of atmospheric synths that were so prevalent on this albums predecessor, Clear Moon . Mal halblang, Herr Elverum. Gerade erst hab ich's geschafft, mein Exemplar von Clear Moon zu ergattern, da steht schon das nächste Mount Eerie -Album ins Haus (oder wahrscheinlich eher im Wald). Nicht aus Jux und Dollerei, bildet doch Ocean's Roar die rockiger verzerrte Hälfte eines Mini-Zyklus, der in Japan sogar auf einer einzigen Doppel-CD veröffentlicht wurde - allerdings nur da.
