There were a lot of good tracks sent to our mailbox in the past few weeks (or months) that somehow didn't make it on Nite Versions on time. Here's a bunch of them! First, we have a new tune from RAC's Andrew Maury who remixed 'Concrete Wall', a single performed by 25 years old Malaysian singer/songwriter Zee Avi. Goldroom, the solo effort of Josh from NightWaves, drops a new song titled 'Angeles'. Dedicated to the city he calls home, this track captures the sun [...]

The last time we saw CSLSX, they had crept their way onto 20102s ATG Goodbye Summer Mixtape with their infectious "Futuretapes," though in reality that track had been dominating our iTunes long before then . Recently, the Philly-based group have recruited Mountain Man to join along for their newest track. "Aeromancer" is a fuzzy electropop track that defies convention, transitioning from moody 802s dreampop to ambient and abstract territory with ease-like Animal Collective with Paula Abdul's drum kits. Secretive, maybe-Philly-based international collective CSLSX have been making multidisciplinary art for a while, and their newest release "Aeromancer" is a delicious introduction to their electric synth-pop. A delicious new slice from CSLSX titled Aeromancer , featuring a capella folk-trio Mountain Man (famous for their collaborations with Feist) on the vocals. Drum-driven disco-pop fronted by three sweet angelic voices. mp3 CSLSX - Aeromancer (ft. Mountain Man)

Ny, grym låt från Philadelphia-favoriterna CSLSX , vilken gästas av tre skönsjungande damer från Vermont som tillsammans går under namnet Mountain Man . Lyssna och ladda ner gratis i utbyte mot din e-post nedan.

CSLSX - Aeromancer (feat. Mountain Man ) Not often that you see hot shit new elextro bands teaming up with sweet-voiced folksters to craft collaborative material, but you should. Here, a marriage made in heaven, or somewhere from the depths of 1982's lost tapes when, in my fantasy, New Order was hanging out making demos with Eurythmics . I expect to be seeing a lot more radness from these rising Philadelphians, and maybe they'll even bless us with more collabs with those angel-voiced Brooklynites. Stay close.
I finally got to see Feist play at Massey Hall last night, one of the last remaining artists I've loved for a long while, yet never got the chance to see live. As you can see, we were sitting in a spot that sort of hovered over stage left, I had a great view but it didn't go over so well for the discrete photo taking. I suppose I was expecting something similar to the theatrics of what transpired during her Look At What the Light Did Now run- but it was naturally, more [...]

This year I delved through nearly every album I listened to in 2011 to pick out my personal cream of the crop. This is probably my most comprehensive list of "best of" songs I've done for BWC thus far...Hope you guys enjoy. The top albums of the year should follow shortly! If there are any mislabeled, mis-tagged links, let me know and I'll get it fixed. I wouldn't be surprised if I muddled through a few misclicks or something trying to copy and paste everything over Tim Kasher // [...]

Though Feist's worldwide tour of Metals won't wrap up until next March, Leslie, tourmates Mountain Man and the gang took some time out to document the first leg with a Polaroid camera and film supplied to us by the Impossible Project . Special thanks to Graeme Flegenheimer for facilitating the project. Check out Leslie's shots and captions above.

Earlier this year, I introduced who I believe to be one of the most impressive new bands in the up and coming modern hardcore movement. Fast forward to today and my mind hasn't changed. Mountain Man dropped their contribution to the 10 year anniversary compilation for ThinkFast! Records. You can stream the near 2-minute recording of pure chaos below. Sorry fellas but this is what the new Trash Talk EP should have been. Mountain Man - Grief by lambgoat
Click here to view the embedded video. Definitely one of my top albums this year, Feist's Metals is full of great songs that are both catchy, dark and a bit fantastical. Feist just released the first video off the album, for her single How Come You Never Go There and it's most definitely catchy, dark and fantastical. If you haven't already grabbed her album, it's definitely worth the purchase. She's currently on tour, with Mountain Man as her backing band. It's a great show to catch live as [...]
Singer-songwriter Feist delivered a stunning performance Thursday night at the Moore Theatre, offering a thoughtful, engaging, and nuanced concert that was as beautiful to watch as it was to hear. Feist and her six-person band took command of the Moore's stage at 9 p.m. and held their posts for nearly two hours, spanning the width of [...]
On last night's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live , Feist took over the show's big outdoor stage to perform the Metals single " How Come You Never Go There ," with her huge touring band behind her and Mountain Man, wearing weird monkish robes, on backing vocals. And as a web-only bonus, she also did a drum-heavy version of "The Bad In Each Other." Watch both performances below. Read More...

Paper Gong is an alias to an alias, that is, the "omni metal" alter ego to Voder, which in turn is projection of one Paul Nadin. Nadin says of this two-track premonition, "I've just been playing around with my distortion pedals! Maybe more to come." A bit loud, a bit mathematical, and perhaps a little temperamental, Mountain Man is just enough to make us thirsty. More like this, please. Leslie Feist gave Chicago concertgoers a night of peaceful indie rock on Friday. Playing to a sold-out crowd at the Riv (including Mayor Rahm Emanuel in a box seat), Feist came on after what might be described charitably as a "weird" set from The Happiness Project. The crowd was polite towards the rangy six-member collective, with their wandering mix of spoken word and emphatic saxophone, but they were really there, of course, for Feist. Feist seems smaller in person than one might expect, a strangely compact vessel to carry such a voice. She brings lots of [...]
