When Wait What Wednesay was asked why he chose these songs he responded, "I just decide to put songs together, and it’s usually because two songs share some feeling or one brings out a more subtle element in the other. Italian producer Mouth ( who did the very good Schloggers EP ) put out another EP called ' Kalamazoo ' at the end of the year and it's gone under the radar a little. Which is a shame, because underneath the stylistic madness he makes very nice songs. This release is part house, part pop music and even has some small hints of bossa nova in places. Following up last year’s massive “Mouthful Of Diamonds”, Phantogram are set to release a new mini-record on November 1st called Nightlife . On first single, “Don’t Move”, everything seems to be more focused, and a bit less spastic. There is certainly more attention to detail on Sarah Barthel’s vocals on this. “Keep Your Body Still” will be hard to do here.
