Moving A Body is the debut LP from Will Hanson . It was recorded at Chemikal Underground and had it's digital release last August, followed by a release on 123 vinyl in October. It has 10 tracks and was funded in-part by Creative Scotland. These, of course, are the facts. They do not, however, even begin to tell you quite what a remarkable record Moving A Body is. Over the course of the ten tracks Will offers up, he takes in a whole number of influences; from the spine-tingling Mogwai-esque guitar builds, [...]
There's no better way to start a Monday than a disco-pick-me-up from Frenchman Yuksek - he's remixed Australian band Gold Fields and their new single 'Moves' - turning it into a rousing disco builder. There's no release date, yet. But as soon as we hear you will too.

In less than three years, Content has grown from a project between like-minded friends into a mainstay of Manchester's house and techno culture and beyond. Born at the Roadhouse and continuing to grow at Joshua Brooks, Content's contribution to the city's electronic music scene grows ever greater. Aside from a succession of parties featuring guests more akin to headline-making 'superclubs', the collective and its individuals have taken steps into production and are about to inaugurate their own imprint. Resident DJ Lee Daley has kindly curated the third chapter of our Rainy [...]
London-based Black Manila cite hardcore early garage, specifically The Pretty Things, as a major influence, but "Fiasco" touches on ferocious art-rock and sneering punk as well. Over repetitively hypnotic guitar strums, nasally excitement from the vocals gives a foreboding sense of a big chorus. The verses' simplicity suggests it on its own, so when the chorus does arrive in its full grace - and the stop-start pattern of the screeching guitars descends into a dramatic murmur - the listener is fully prepared

[ Workshop ] The collaborative nom de plume of Move D and Juju & Jordash has been a subject of brooding lust for many contemporary house fans worldwide. Since emerging from the dimly lit DJ booths of Amsterdam's underground in 2010, it's taken two years for the trio of hardware obsessives to release a debut on Lowtec's seminal Workshop imprint. Not that one should approach a contemporary collaboration without a sense of vigilant precaution. Recent years [...]
![Rah Flair – Notice The Difference [Downloads]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4224447_lg.jpg)
Most music lovers can agree that each coast has a distinct sound. Whether it be the heavy slaps of bass, use of classic instruments, or having an electro-feel, we can almost always pinpoint where it came from. Detroit artist and producer Rah Flair successfully captivated not the sound of a coast, but the sound of a time; classic . Listening to his latest project, most will Notice The Difference in the overall feel of his tracks. Incorporating solid samples, smooth saxophone runs and comforting sounds of a piano, this album provides beautiful [...]

By Bruce Rave One of my top SXSW live discoveries was Gold Fields from near Melbourne, Australia. They are tight, energetic and danceable, with 2 sick percussionists. "Moves" is perfectly titled. It has a retro bottom-end topped with a modern vibe. I played this song on my show last Friday, and it got a super reaction. Gold Fields ( Facebook ) Check out [...]

We've featured The Naturals a few times on the site and their latest offering is as fully deserving of inclusion as always. Last week the young Bristol five-piece released their AA-side, debut 73 single via the ever-brilliant Howling Owl records and have also released a new video to accompany the release. You may well remember the spellbinding lead song and video ( Finishing Moves) that we featured last month - see here if not - and Concrete Sea [...]

Can it get any better than this??? OTT's edit of 'I Can't Shake This Feeling' isn't just oozing in reach & clarity but pure driven soul and old skool funk. Just magic. With 'Indian Burn' having the power to create a Garfield the cat smile on my face during each and every word that I write here is understandable enough. And reason why that this track is immensely bloody good! Goodness knows what I'll be like on the dancefloor then!! 'Hot Mess' soon follows, hurried in by 'I Got SWAG' looping the chic. And to wrap it all [...]

If you haven't already seen, heard, or downloaded; Brainfeeder put out a free sampler earlier this week containing a track from each of the amazing members on its team. I was going through it and there is one track on this piece that I had not heard yet, while the others I had already listened to countless times already. The stunningly strung-out instrumental from Taylor McFerrin's , 'Place In My Heart feat. RYAT', is yet another Brainfeeder tune for the books, hence its place alongside the best of best from the label this past year. So beautiful. [...]

This is the greatest song I have ever heard on Boiler Room . Well maybe not, but "Hold Tite" by Late Nite Tuff Guy , as played by Move D during his encore selection, is pretty much vibes on vibes. Late Nite Tuff Guy - Hold Tite ( buy )

This is what great, mostly vinyl DJ sets sound like. Move D, Live @ Panorabar (01.22.12) Savile, Live @ SmartBar (01.20.12) Free Magic, Live @ Discovery (01.14.12)

Bristol four-piece The Naturals have unveiled the new video for their up-coming single, Finishing Moves . The song is set for release at the end of February on 73 vinyl via the ever-impressive Howling Owl records. What makes the video all-the-more impressive is the fact that it was entirely made by Harry Wright and Felix Drake from the band. Turn the lights up, turn the volume up and freak out a little bit. Should probably come with an epilepsy by the way, you have been warned... * [...]
