For a period of time after college I worked as a stir-fry chef at Whole Foods. After work (I usually worked the night shift) I'd roam the streets looking for dumpsters to dive into. It isn't that I needed the food. Whole Foods had a great program where I could earn gift cards (and I did, all the time) and they also offered their employees the expired fruits, vegetables and baked goods before they threw them out. Mr Fogg is named after the fictional character Phileas Fogg from Jules Verne's novel Around the World in Eighty Days, and he's done his best to recreate the well-travelled vibe following the release of Icelandic-based album in 2012, Eleven , and a European tour that followed. 25. Few musicians have blown up this year more than Ryan Hemsworth. Seriously, everything the guy puts out seems to instantly explode on hype machine these days. Although I'm hesitant to give respect to producers that only remix popular artists, it appears that Hemsworth has what it takes to become a big-name producer himself. Although I put off liking him the entire year, his recent remix of Mikky Ekko's track "Pull Me Down" forced me to give him another chance. Mr Fogg immersed himself in everything Icelandic recently, with second album Eleve n released earlier over the summer - an album that was recorded in Reykjavik with Valgeir Sigurdsson. (He even included Sigurdsson in his mix for us earlier this year.) And it certainly shows in the multi-instrumentlist's latest gorgeous-cum-abrasive single, 'Tightrope', taken from the LP. We've posted a few bits and bobs from the Mr. Fogg this year. We saw the video for " Stay Out Of The Sun " and the countryside filled visual for " Sprint " and now we get the accompaniment for "Tightrope" which features on his album, Eleven . It's a bit of an unusual visual, it has a nice use of some headless dancers, and by headless I mean they have paper shapes for heads, and the cleverly placed brightly coloured lighting adds to the air of confusion and wonder.
